Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Freddie Emilianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Cormier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emilianenko comes into the arena with Nirvana - Rape Me blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Freddie Emilianenko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Daniel Cormier! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Kenichi Hosakawa and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cormier misses with the combination.
Cormier pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Emilianenko back to the cage. Cormier follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
It looks like Freddie Emilianenko has been cut. Emilianenko swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Emilianenko avoids the body shot from Cormier.
Emilianenko drives through with a takedown into guard. Cormier keeping moving, preventing Emilianenko from controlling successfully. Cormier working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Emilianenko. Emilianenko trying to control but Cormier is working from the bottom. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
That's one minute gone in the round. Cormier is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Cormier keeping full guard, as Emilianenko tries to pass.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Freddie Emilianenko wasn't doing enough on the ground. Emilianenko connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Cormier misses with a double jab.
Cormier takes a body punch but keeps moving. Cormier looks to land a combination but Emilianenko avoids it well. Cormier throws a left and a right that both miss
and Emilianenko counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cormier closes the distance and pushes Emilianenko back into the cage. Cormier working hard to break the clinch. Emilianenko tries to throw a body punch but Cormier avoids it by throwing Emilianenko back against the cage. Emilianenko digs a right hand into Cormier's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Cormier's gas tank. Cormier drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Emilianenko gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Emilianenko lands a right hand that snaps the head of Cormier backwards. Emilianenko slows down the pace here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Emilianenko changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Cormier fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Cormier has a takedown stuffed. Emilianenko blocks a jab. Emilianenko throws a shot to the body.
Emilianenko drops Cormier with a nice combination! Emilianenko dives into Cormier's guard, looking to finish!

Cormier keeping moving, preventing Emilianenko from controlling successfully. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cormier can do anything to dispel that myth. Emilianenko looking to sit in guard and control but Cormier gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Cormier throwing strikes from guard but Emilianenko blocks nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Freddie Emilianenko dominated that round. The cut man is working on Freddie Emilianenko's cut. That's time! Emilianenko's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Cormier manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Emilianenko on his heels. He'll look to pass Emilianenko's guard now, I'm sure. Cormier must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Emilianenko utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Cormier working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Cormier stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Emilianenko has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Cormier manages to get his head free but now Emilianenko has transitioned to an armbar! Cormier grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Emilianenko! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
