The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice combination there by Big.
Big digs a good hook to Gualco's body.
Some wild striking there from Big.
Gualco takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Big lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Big.
Big scores with a one two! Gualco had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Big stuns Gualco with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
A good leg kick by Big.
Big with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Big scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gualco doesn't seem bothered though.
Big looks to land a combination but Gualco avoids it well.

Big throws a good cross that connects.
Big lands with a nice body kick.
Gualco fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Big avoids it really well and circles away.
Big throws a head kick that half lands.
Big looks gassed!
Big scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Gualco fails with the takedown.
Nice body kick there by Big.
Big misses with the combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Big looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Gualco takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Big jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Gualco gets a double leg takedown into Big's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Gualco passes Big's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Gualco lands a nice short elbow.
Gualco looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Big with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Gualco has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Big defend it? Gualco steps over the head and cranks it - Big is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Gualco!
