Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lawrence Trainor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Robert Eberson! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from Trainor. Nice sprawl there from Eberson as Trainor shoots in. Trainor defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Eberson. Eberson misses with a low kick.
Trainor bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Eberson throws a lazy uppercut
and Trainor moves into the clinch. Eberson tries for a takedown but Trainor manages to get underhooks.
Trainor throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Eberson blocks it with crossed arms. Trainor tries a knee to the head but Eberson blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trainor drags the fight down to the ground.
Eberson content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Eberson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Eberson is in close to Trainor's body, working some short punches and elbows. Trainor is trying to keep Eberson in close.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Trainor looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Trainor not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Trainor really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Eberson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Eberson preventing the sweep. Trainor throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Eberson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Trainor landing with the ground and pound. Trainor trying to control the position from guard on top but Eberson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Trainor pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Eberson is keeping the position for now. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Eberson trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Eberson is striking but Trainor is not phased and passes to half guard. Eberson striking from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Trainor has hold of one of Eberson's legs. Eberson is fighting the takedown attempt but Trainor gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Eberson tries to strike from the bottom.
Eberson looking for a sweep. Not yet Eberson, not yet. Eberson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Trainor's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Eberson sitting in guard here, content to control. Trainor is trying to control the position but Eberson postures up. Eberson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Trainor is looking for a triangle but Eberson pushes his legs off easily.

Trainor wants to get back to his feet but Eberson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Eberson with a nice head shot there. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Eberson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Trainor keeping moving, preventing Eberson from controlling successfully. Trainor is pulling down on Eberson's head to control his posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Eberson throws a big elbow that misses. Trainor pulls Eberson in close to prevent any damage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lawrence Trainor has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Trainor tries to close the distance and clinch but Eberson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Trainor doesn't manage to clinch there - Eberson circles away.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Eberson.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Trainor tries to close the distance and clinch up but Eberson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Trainor tries to clinch but Eberson is having none of it. Lawrence Trainor is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Eberson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Trainor was well out of range. Poor timing from Eberson. Eberson circles away from the clinch attempt.

That was a close second round but I would say that Lawrence Trainor will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Trainor manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Eberson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Trainor's head. Eberson with a flurry of punches that miss. Eberson won't allow Trainor to sweep him here. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Trainor is on top in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trainor is fighting to break Eberson's control of his arms but Eberson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Eberson throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Eberson is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Eberson throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Oh no, disaster for Eberson there! Eberson tries to lock up and control but Trainor gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Trainor unloading with bombs! Trainor trying to control but he's not successful this time. Trainor prevents Eberson from getting the reversal. Trainor trying to control but Eberson is having none of it. Eberson throwing hammer fists to the chest of Trainor. What's that going to do exactly? The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Eberson is arching his back trying to strike from the bottom but Trainor turns him over and now has his back. Eberson wants to control his opponent's hands but Trainor gets his hands free. Eberson tries to escape the position.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lawrence Trainor. I think Trainor has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
