Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leyland Chapman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sebastien Chabal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chapman comes to the ring accompanied by the lazy song. Sebastien Chabal is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Leyland Chapman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sebastien Chabal! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chapman misses with a two punch combination.
A jab lands there for Chabal.
It looks like Leyland Chapman has been cut. Chapman is looking to clinch but Chabal is avoiding it.
Chabal rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Chapman moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Chapman missing with a left hand there. Chabal was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Chapman fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Chapman wants to clinch and Chabal counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Chabal swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Chabal throws a right and a left that Chapman avoids nicely. Nice shot lands for Chabal. Chapman has Chabal up against the ropes in a clinch.
Chabal manages to break the clinch.
Chapman is trying hard to land a takedown here. Chabal sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Leyland Chapman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chabal jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Chapman tries to clinch up but Chabal circles away and keeps his distance. Chabal is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chabal ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chapman moves away. Chabal smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Chabal lands with an uppercut that bounces Chapman off the ropes and back into range. Chabal scores with a jab to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chapman catches Chabal with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Chabal has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Chabal connects with a looping right hand.
Chabal moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Chapman goes down! Can Chabal finish him!?
Chapman is rocked! The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Chapman has momentary wrist control but Chabal slips an elbow through the middle. Oh Chapman is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Chapman is breathing heavily. Chabal trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Chapman seems to have got his legs back now. Chapman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Chabal throws a big elbow that misses. Chabal with a flurry of punches that miss. Chabal postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Chabal trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chabal accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Chabal passes Chapman's left leg - he's now in half guard. Chabal looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Chabal has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Chabal decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Chabal is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Chapman had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Chapman takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Chapman darts in trying to clinch and Chabal counters with a beautiful punch that sends Chapman to the canvas! Chabal stands up from Chapman's guard - Chabal perhaps looking for a knockout. Chabal tries to bum rush Chapman with a series of wild strikes but Chapman uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chabal lands a slapping body shot.
Chabal throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Chapman on the side of the head. Chabal bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Chapman! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Chabal forces his way into half guard. Chabal trying to pass the guard but Chapman defending well. Chabal sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Chapman defending well though. Chapman avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Chabal. Chabal throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chabal moves into full mount! Chapman won't be happy about that! Chabal thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Chabal landing strikes from the mount. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Chabal postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Chapman looks a forlorn figure.
Chapman is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Chabal punching from mount but Chapman doing a good job of avoiding damage. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Chabal sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Chabal landing strikes, looking to finish! Chapman wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Chabal.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sebastien Chabal dominated that round. The cut man is working on Leyland Chapman's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Chabal dances in with a quick combination. Chapman is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Chabal snaps Chapman's head back. Chapman stumbles backwards against the ropes. Chabal steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Chapman's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Chapman just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Sebastien Chabal!
