The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker misses with a wild body shot.
Walker takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Walker shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
George Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Walker throws a predictable looking body shot
and Tommo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Walker looks for a takedown but Tommo sprawls well.
Tommo wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

It looks like George Walker has been cut.
Walker is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Tommo pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Ricky Tommo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Walker.
Walker has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Tommo after a bit of a struggle.
Tommo using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Walker has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Tommo feints and then cracks Walker's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Walker down.

Tommo has closed the distance and engaged Walker in a clinch.
Tommo tries to stall but Walker uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Walker has Tommo pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Tommo manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Tommo pushes Walker back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Walker is trying to pull guard but Tommo turns him against the ropes and we stay in the clinch.

Tommo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Tommo connects with a right hand. Walker shakes it off.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Walker on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Walker is trying desperately to land a takedown but Tommo is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Walker.

Tommo throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tommo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Walker as Tommo tries to tie him up.
Tommo tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Walker takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Tommo lands a head kick. Walker smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Walker is rocked!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Tommo feints with a jab and clips Walker right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Walker is sent crashing into the canvas and Tommo leaps in for the kill! Walker tries to get to his feet but Tommo is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Walker is in need of a savior and steps in!
