Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Marens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marens comes to the cage accompanied by Pittbull - Give me everything. The crowd seem to be enjoying Johnson's choice of entrance music: LL Cool J - Itīs time for war. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jake Marens! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Johnson! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marens gets a takedown into half guard. Marens is working for a submission of some sort.
Marens is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Johnson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Marens. Marens looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Johnson is staying active underneath Marens, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marens wants to work for an arm triangle but Johnson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Marens is working for a kimura but Johnson is defending it quite comfortably.

Johnson is pressing down on Marens's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Marens passes easily into side control. Nice work. Marens is trying to get an arm triangle but Johnson is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marens thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Marens wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnson keeps working. Johnson tries to buck Marens off but Marens is having none of it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Marens has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Johnson is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Marens yanks on the arm and Johnson is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Marens.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jake Marens! Jake Marens decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
