Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mikko Neva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruno Carneiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Carneiro or perhaps it was just good defense by Neva which made him look bad.

Neva fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Carneiro to the ground. Neva is now in Carneiro's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Carneiro might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Neva kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Carneiro connects with a nice short shot to Neva's temple.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Neva has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Carneiro is working away from the top position though.
