1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nosiaj Avlis! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Avlis. No joy for McGuirk on that attempt. McGuirk avoids the head kick by Avlis.
Avlis looks to score with a jab to the body but McGuirk is just out of range. McGuirk is looking to take this fight into the clinch. McGuirk tries to clinch up but Avlis circles away and keeps his distance. Avlis lands with a shot to the body. Avlis scores with a nice head shot. McGuirk tries to clinch up. Avlis throws a head kick that misses and McGuirk makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. McGuirk tries to clinch but Avlis moves out of range. McGuirk with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Avlis to score with a decent uppercut. McGuirk is looking to clinch. Avlis throws a right and a left that both miss. McGuirk scores with a takedown into Avlis's guard. McGuirk trying to control but Avlis is working from the bottom. McGuirk passes into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McGuirk is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Avlis has managed to free his arm - good work. McGuirk trying to pass the guard but Avlis defending well. Avlis is looking to improve his position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! McGuirk looks to land a strike but Avlis avoids it nicely and regains full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McGuirk wants to pass the guard but Avlis is keeping the position. Avlis can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as McGuirk controls the pace.

Avlis utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Avlis keeping moving, preventing McGuirk from controlling successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up because John McGuirk just wasn't active enough. Avlis throws the kick towards the body but McGuirk avoids it.

McGuirk tries to clinch but Avlis is having none of it. McGuirk closes the distance and pushes Avlis back into the cage. McGuirk throws a head punch that misses. McGuirk tries to land a knee to the head but Avlis blocks with his arms.

McGuirk with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. McGuirk throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Avlis blocks it with crossed arms. McGuirk is working for takedown but Avlis is calmly controlling the position for now. Avlis has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. McGuirk avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. McGuirk slowing the pace effectively. Avlis blocks the elbow strike.

McGuirk has Avlis pushed against the cage. McGuirk is looking to control Avlis's arms but Avlis gets an underhook and turns him. Now McGuirk has his back to the cage. McGuirk is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Avlis gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Avlis tries to pull guard but McGuirk won't allow it.
Avlis blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Avlis stalling.
McGuirk tries to land knees in the clinch but Avlis avoids the damage to the body. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. McGuirk using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

John McGuirk dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Nosiaj Avlis's cut. That's time! McGuirk's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Avlis fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. McGuirk fails with the takedown. Avlis with a hook. Avlis cracks McGuirk with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. McGuirk on the wrong end of a nice jab. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McGuirk keeps the fight on the outside. Avlis avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
McGuirk is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Nosiaj Avlis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McGuirk slaps away a takedown attempt from Avlis, before circling back to the center of the mat. Avlis shoots in for a double leg but McGuirk sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Avlis throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. McGuirk was covering up waiting for the punch and Avlis finishes the takedown easily into guard. Avlis is looking to work some ground and pound but McGuirk has wrist control. McGuirk has control of Avlis's left arm, preventing Avlis from doing any damage. Avlis stands and steps away. McGuirk gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Avlis lands with an uppercut that bounces McGuirk off the cage and back into range. John McGuirk is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Avlis feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to McGuirk's calf. McGuirk moves into range and clinches up with Avlis. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McGuirk throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Avlis blocks it with crossed arms. McGuirk with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Avlis has McGuirk pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. McGuirk manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. John McGuirk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nosiaj Avlis. The referee calls for McGuirk to work.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, McGuirk just misses with a elbow thrown towards Avlis's brow.

Avlis throws a lazy head kick and McGuirk counters with a big head kick but Avlis shrugs it off. Avlis closes this distance looking for a takedown but McGuirk circles away. McGuirk misses with a takedown attempt - Avlis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McGuirk tries to clinch up but Avlis circles away and keeps his distance. Avlis lands a straight punch to the body, keeping McGuirk at a distance.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Decent striking displayed by Avlis there. McGuirk throws a push kick but Avlis slaps the foot to one side. Avlis jabs McGuirk to the body, keeping him at a distance. John McGuirk is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Avlis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Avlis tries to clinch but McGuirk moves out of range. McGuirk is looking to clinch but Avlis is avoiding it.
