Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with a wild combination.
Silva shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Silva drops an elbow to the side of Jones's head.
Silva scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Jones is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Silva scores with a couple of nice shots.
Silva works his way into side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Silva presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working.

Silva looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jones with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Silva lands with a punch from half guard.
Silva is taking a breather. Jones says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Jones wants to control but Silva is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Jones wants to improve his position but Silva is controlling well.

Jones is staying active underneath Silva, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Silva is landing with some decent strikes but Jones is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Silva postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Jones in real trouble here! The ref calls for Jones to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
