Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Fitch counters with a nice double leg into side control. Black won't be happy with that.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Fitch remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Black tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Fitch wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Black manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Black looking to secure an arm triangle but Fitch defends it well.

Black has control of Fitch's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Fitch regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Fitch is looking to improve his position but Black isn't that keen on the idea.

Black has hold of Fitch's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Fitch manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Black is working for a guillotine from mount but Fitch frees his head quite easily.

Black is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Fitch is forced to tap! Great finish!
