Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Lee Paris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robert Boldin!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Jorge Garcia and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paris swings for the body but Boldin moves out of range.
Paris throws a lazy body kick
and Boldin makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Paris connects with a nice looking jab.
Boldin misses with a low kick.
Paris tries to clinch but Boldin moves away
and Boldin counters with an outside leg kick.
Boldin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Paris takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Paris jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Paris looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Paris prevents Boldin from standing back up.
Paris looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Boldin with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Paris throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Paris is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Paris working over Boldin with some ground and pound. Boldin looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Boldin won't allow Paris to pass to mount.

Boldin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Paris. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Paris thows a huge punch but Boldin dodges it nicely.

Boldin wants to improve his position but Paris is controlling well.
Paris looks to land a strike but Boldin avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Paris stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boldin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Paris throws a strike but Boldin rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Paris wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Paris looking to hit a scissor sweep but Boldin is one step ahead there.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Robert Boldin hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Paris instigates a clinch.

Paris makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Paris lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Paris scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Paris swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Paris fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Paris blocks the elbow strike.

Paris escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Paris scores with a decent looking hook.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Paris throws a hook but Boldin blocks it.
Boldin lands a jab.


It looks like Johnny Lee Paris has been cut.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Boldin thows a body shot but no joy.
Paris lands with a cross.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Paris loads up on a big right hand but Boldin slips the punch.
Paris connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Boldin covering up! Paris comes in with a big uppercut and Boldin goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Johnny Lee Paris!
Johnny Lee Paris very nearly forgot to thank 5th Round Clothing amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
