The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minotauro tries to clinch but Jacobs is having none of it.
Jacobs avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Minotauro doesn't manage to clinch there - Jacobs circles away.
Minotauro throws a front kick aimed at Jacobs's knee but Jacobs avoids it well.
Russell Jacobs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Good work by Minotauro as he checks the leg kick.
Minotauro lands a slapping body shot.
Jacobs ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Jacobs lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Minotauro circles away quickly and effectively.
Minotauro avoids the body shot from Jacobs.
Jacobs swings widly with a right hand
and Minotauro counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jacobs!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Minotauro fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Minotauro cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Minotauro landing strikes from the mount and Jacobs is in trouble!
Jacobs is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Jacobs keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Minotauro lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Jacobs is rocked!
It looks like Russell Jacobs has been cut.
Minotauro postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Jacobs in real trouble here! The ref calls for Jacobs to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ze Minotauro!
A relieved looking Ze Minotauro thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
