Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Connor MacLeod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jiguro Kamoko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kamoko has chosen Battle Without Honor as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Connor MacLeod!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jiguro Kamoko!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksandr Martynov and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacLeod fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Connor MacLeod seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kamoko thuds his right hand into MacLeod's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Good work by MacLeod as he checks the leg kick.
MacLeod missing with a left hand there. Kamoko was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Kamoko closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

MacLeod is looking to reverse the position.

Kamoko tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kamoko has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Kamoko misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Kamoko is pressing down on MacLeod's thigh, looking to free his foot. MacLeod is holding on for now.

Kamoko is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so MacLeod is just riding it out for now. Kamoko eventually gives up the hold.

MacLeod is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kamoko looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks MacLeod with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jiguro Kamoko dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Kamoko will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
MacLeod tests Kamoko's chin there with a solid looking shot.
MacLeod lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Kamoko blocks a head kick by MacLeod.
Kamoko defending well as MacLeod loads up on a big left hand.
MacLeod scores with a punch to the head.
MacLeod throws a nice outside leg kick.
A clash of legs there as Kamoko blocks the low kick.
Kamoko attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
MacLeod looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Kamoko fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
MacLeod works Kamoko's body with a nice hook.
MacLeod throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kamoko sees it coming and avoids it easily.
MacLeod swings away with a body shot that misses
and Kamoko counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps MacLeod thinking.
Kamoko steps to the side to avoid the strikes from MacLeod.

Kamoko shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kamoko was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
MacLeod is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
MacLeod is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Kamoko postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. MacLeod looks a forlorn figure.

Kamoko is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. MacLeod can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Oh MacLeod is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
MacLeod wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Kamoko.
Kamoko lands a big shot there that rocks MacLeod but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Kamoko! MacLeod is hurt baaadly! Kamoko is firing away with more strikes - MacLeod is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jiguro Kamoko!
Jiguro Kamoko took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'Train by day, Joe Rogan podcast by night! ALL DAY!'.
