Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mick Maurizio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Damon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maurizio comes to the cage accompanied by NMH2: No More Riot. Damon is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Dies Irae. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damon moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

It looks like Mick Maurizio has been cut.
Maurizio tries to clinch up but Damon circles away and keeps his distance.

Maurizio rushes Damon and presses him up against the cage.

Maurizio throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Damon blocks it with crossed arms.
Maurizio lands a left hand that snaps the head of Damon backwards.

Maurizio shoots in looking for a takedown but Damon manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Maurizio's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Maurizio chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Damon can pounce on him.

Maurizio closes this distance looking for a takedown but Damon circles away.
Damon jabs Maurizio right on the nose. Maurizio blinks but takes it well.

Ron Damon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Damon lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Maurizio avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Maurizio tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Damon paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Maurizio throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Maurizio lands a good knee to the midsection. Damon won't want to take too many of those.

Damon thuds his right hand into Maurizio's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Damon slaps away a takedown attempt from Maurizio, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Maurizio is breathing heavily.
Maurizio throws a series of punches but Damon avoids them all with ease.
Damon cracks Maurizio with a right hand to the side of the head.

Maurizio is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Maurizio dives in and grabs Damon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Damon pushes down on Maurizio's head and hops out.

Damon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Maurizio moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Damon throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Maurizio on the side of the head.

Maurizio drops his hands momentarily and Damon needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Maurizio just on the top of the head. Maurizio drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Maurizio - he's done!

Ron Damon decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
