Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Richter Alastrasz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Storm's choice of entrance music: AC/DC - Thunderstruck. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny Storm! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Emerson Jorge and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alastrasz tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Storm was well out of range. Poor timing from Alastrasz. A big right from Alastrasz misses. Storm swings for the body but Alastrasz moves out of range.
Alastrasz is trying hard to land a takedown here. Storm sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Storm uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Alastrasz. Storm connects with an inside leg kick. Storm connects with a good right hand that stumbles Alastrasz. Alastrasz circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Alastrasz drops his hands momentarily and Storm takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Alastrasz checks the leg kick nicely there.

and Storm counters with a thumping low kick. Storm connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Alastrasz's hands. Storm lands the left hand. Storm scores with a jab. Alastrasz acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Storm is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Alastrasz had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Storm fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. Alastrasz is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Storm's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Storm throws a leg kick which misses Alastrasz's front leg but catches the back leg as Alastrasz tries to avoid it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Alastrasz manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Storm on his heels. He'll look to pass Storm's guard now, I'm sure. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Storm can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Alastrasz controls the pace. Storm wants to stand up but Alastrasz is controlling him. Storm is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Alastrasz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Alastrasz wants to control from the top but Storm keeps moving. Storm wants to sweep here but Alastrasz controlling him for the moment. Storm really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alastrasz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A solid leg kick lands there for Storm.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Alastrasz misses with a looping right. Storm connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Alastrasz takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Alastrasz shoots for a double leg takedown but Storm sprawls well. He's pushed Alastrasz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Johnny Storm will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Alastrasz pushes Storm against the cage but Storm circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Storm fails to land with a series of punches.

Storm throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Storm throws a body punch but Alastrasz moves out of range. Alastrasz takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Storm throws a nice outside leg kick. Storm leaves Alastrasz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Richter Alastrasz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Alastrasz lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Storm has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Storm lands a nice looking body kick. Storm connects with a solid leg kick. Alastrasz attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Storm misses with a body kick. Alastrasz moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Storm cracks Alastrasz with a good jab. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Richter Alastrasz. I think Storm has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
