Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rory Kerrigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jose Silva told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rory Kerrigan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jose Silva! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kerrigan fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Silva to the ground. Kerrigan is now in Silva's guard. Silva looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kerrigan is one step ahead there. Kerrigan stops Silva from standing up. Kerrigan not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Kerrigan won't allow Silva to get back to his feet. Silva is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kerrigan controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Silva wants to get back to his feet but Kerrigan is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kerrigan stands up over Silva, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Kerrigan is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Kerrigan trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Rory Kerrigan. Kerrigan closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Silva to the mat! Silva manages to get full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kerrigan looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Kerrigan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Silva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kerrigan has managed to get both his arms back between Silva's legs - danger averted. Kerrigan working some strikes from top position. Kerrigan stays in close to Silva's body and controls the position. Kerrigan lands a couple of decent looking shots. Kerrigan working some strikes from top position. Kerrigan sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Silva's guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Kerrigan looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Silva is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ground and pound from Kerrigan. Silva is still in real trouble! Can Kerrigan finish him? Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Kerrigan is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Silva is hurt! He's hurt bad - Kerrigan fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Silva from any more punishment! Congratulations to Kerrigan! Great finish!
