Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sanya Mamonov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Moai Burns! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mamonov tries to clinch and Burns cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Burns moves into the clinch successfully.
Burns is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Mamonov throws a knee to the head but misses.
Knees to the body from Burns.
Mamonov jumps guard but Burns turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. A short right from Burns. Mamonov tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Burns lands an elbow just above Mamonov 's eye. Mamonov tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Burns looks to throw an elbow but misses. Burns lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Mamonov backwards. Mamonov has his foot on Burns's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Burns works his way back into a safe position though. Burns stands up and waves to Mamonov to follow him. Mamonov is looking to clinch. Burns throws a body kick that misses. Burns throws the kick towards the body but Mamonov avoids it. That's two minutes gone in the round. Burns scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Mamonov keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Burns. Mamonov throws a head kick that Burns semi-blocks.

Burns gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Mamonov. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Burns pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Mamonov closes the distance looking to clinch and Burns counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burns lands a nice looking kick to the body. Mamonov takes a step back to recover. Mamonov misses with a head kick.
Mamonov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Burns moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Burns throws a leg kick but Mamonov moved away.

A head kick by Mamonov misses and Burns counters with a good, hard body kick but Mamonov shrugs it off. Burns throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Mamonov on the side of the head. Burns circles away from the clinch attempt and Burns counters into the clinch. Nicely done. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mamonov tries to pull guard but Burns forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Burns presses Mamonov against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Burns thuds his shin into the meat of Mamonov's side. A looping hook to the body misses from Mamonov. Burns does a little dance to reset his feet. Mamonov tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Burns counters with a three punch combo that has Mamonov backing up. Mamonov nods at Burns to acknowledge the strikes.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Mamonov throws the kick towards the body but Burns avoids it. Burns takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Burns walks away with a smile on his face. Mamonov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. A momentary lapse in concentration from Mamonov enables Burns to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mamonov manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mamonov has a closed guard, preventing Burns from standing up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mamonov working for a triangle but Burns defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Burns decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Mamonov, up you get! Mamonov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mamonov looks to clinch and Burns counters with a thumping low kick. Burns avoids the head kick by Mamonov.

Burns get's back to his feet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Burns misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mamonov tests Burns's chin there with a solid looking shot. A head kick misses from Mamonov. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A head kick misses from Mamonov. Mamonov throws a head kick but Burns moves out of range.

Moai Burns showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Mamonov's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Burns circles away from the clinch attempt and Burns counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Mamonov moves to clinch but Burns breaks away letting Burns counter with a right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mamonov tries to clinch but fails miserably and Burns counters with a straight right hand. Burns throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mamonov tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Burns is in Mamonov's guard. Mamonov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Burns defends well. Burns decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Mamonov, up you get! Mamonov tries a head kick but it misses.
Mamonov closes the distance looking to clinch and Burns counters with a head kick. That will keep Mamonov thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Burns takes a kick to the side of the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Burns manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Mamonov on his heels. He'll look to pass Mamonov's guard now, I'm sure. Burns wants to get up but he can't break Mamonov's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Mamonov not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Mamonov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Burns can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Moai Burns is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Burns moves into the clinch. Burns dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

And that's the end of the fight! Moai Burns comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Burns has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
