Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Devon Knowles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Rainier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knowles's entrance music is Diablo - Read My Scars. A fine choice. Kyle Rainier struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Devon Knowles could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kyle Rainier's chin.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knowles is looking to clinch but Rainier is avoiding it.

Rainier tries to keep at a distance but Knowles has taken the fight into the clinch.
Knowles pressing his opponent against the cage.
Knowles swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Knowles lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Rainier breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Knowles tries to clinch but Rainier moves out of range.
Knowles really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Rainier throws a series of punches but Knowles moves out of range.
Knowles tries to clinch up.
Knowles fails with a takedown attempt.

Rainier looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Knowles pushes Rainier off and gets back to his feet.
Rainier lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Knowles backs up against the cage.

Rainier keeps the fight on the outside.
Knowles misses with a takedown attempt

and Rainier counters with a nice double leg into side control. Knowles won't be happy with that.

Knowles is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Rainier has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Rainier is looking to take a break and control but Knowles is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Rainier thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Rainier wants to take a breather but Knowles manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Rainier.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Knowles is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Knowles is breathing heavily.

Knowles has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Rainier clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Rainier breaks Knowles's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Knowles has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Rainier off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Rainier decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Rainier is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Knowles is not content to let Rainier control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rainier missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Rainier tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Knowles.
Knowles is trying to stand up here but Rainier is controlling him well.

Rainier decides to return to a standing position.

Knowles looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Rainier!


Rainier is rocked!
Knowles avoids the attempt from Rainier to control.
Rainier is still in real trouble! Can Knowles finish him?
Knowles with shots to the head and body - Rainier looks very uncomfortable down there.

Knowles lands a big elbow - Rainier is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Rainier is forced to tap out!
