Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Patrick Seven! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jerzy Kosinski! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Shimada and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Seven defending well as Kosinski loads up on a big left hand. Seven tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kosinski was well out of range. Poor timing from Seven. Seven fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Kosinski is out of range. Seven throws a leg kick but Kosinski moved away. Kosinski ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Seven moves away. Seven comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Kosinski misses with a wild body shot. Seven tried to score with a low kick but Kosinski checks it. Kosinski bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Seven's head. Kosinski misses with a two punch combination.
Seven swings away with a leg kick that misses. Seven blocks a jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kosinski swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Kosinski throws a right and a left that Seven avoids nicely. Left hook, right uppercut from Kosinski. Sloppy strikes from Kosinski. Those never looked like landing. A looping hook to the body misses from Kosinski. Seven does a little dance to reset his feet. Kosinski misses with a body shot.
Kosinski throws a series of punches but Seven moves out of range. Seven scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Kosinski throws a hook but Seven avoids it easily. Kosinski keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kosinski shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Seven eats them both and turns towards Kosinski to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Seven uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kosinski.
Kosinski uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Seven. Kosinski misses with a wild body shot. Kosinski just misses with a punch to the body.
Kosinski cracks Seven with a right hand to the side of the head. This has been an exciting period of action! Seven closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Seven lands in his opponent's guard. Kosinski is looking to stand up but Seven isn't so interested in that idea. Seven wants to control from the top but Kosinski keeps moving. Seven pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kosinski is keeping the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Seven throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kosinski works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kosinski looking to control.
Seven advances position into side control! Seven with the ground and pound but Kosinski regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Kosinski is controlling Seven's position as best he can from this difficult position. Seven is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kosinski is just riding it out for now. Seven eventually gives up the hold. Seven works his foot free and advances to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Seven landing strikes from the mount and Kosinski is in trouble! Seven has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Seven dominating with strikes here. This has been an exciting period of action! Seven has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kosinski's face.
Kosinski is rocked!
It looks like Jerzy Kosinski has been cut. Seven drops a big elbow. That's hurt Kosinski! More shots from Seven and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
