Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Blake Wallace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nishi Akuwara!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wallace scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Wallace throwing strikes but Akuwara manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Wallace tries to buck Akuwara off but Akuwara is having none of it.
Akuwara wants to control but Wallace is keeping him busy.
Wallace is looking for a sweep.
Wallace manages to work his way to half guard, despite Akuwara's best efforts.
Wallace has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Akuwara is working away from the top position though.
Akuwara should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Akuwara is keen to just control but Wallace is a slippery customer.
Wallace pushes Akuwara off looking to stand but Akuwara dives back in and keeps control.
The fighters are battling for position here. Wallace manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Wallace is trying to keep Akuwara in close.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Nice sprawl there from Wallace as Akuwara shoots in.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Wallace closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Wallace is breathing heavily.

Wallace is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Akuwara defends it well.
Akuwara regains full guard. Nicely done.

Akuwara is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wallace is aware though and is defending well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wallace trying to control but Akuwara is working from the bottom.

Akuwara looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Wallace is looking to work some ground and pound but Akuwara has wrist control.

Wallace avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Wallace stands and steps away. Akuwara gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Nice straight punches there by Wallace. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Wallace.
Akuwara doesn't manage to clinch there - Wallace circles away.

Wallace throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Akuwara tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Wallace is in Akuwara's guard.
Wallace has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Wallace stays in close to Akuwara's body and controls the position.

Akuwara looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Wallace passes into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wallace moves into full mount! Akuwara won't be happy about that!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wallace looking to control and managing it successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Blake Wallace dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Wallace throws a nice head kick!


It looks like Nishi Akuwara has been cut.
Akuwara misses with a series of wild punches.
Blake Wallace is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Akuwara takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Akuwara is working for takedown but Wallace is calmly controlling the position for now.
Akuwara is trying to drag Wallace to the mat but Wallace just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
A bit of stalling here from Wallace.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Wallace breaks the clinch.

Wallace rushes Akuwara and presses him up against the cage.

Wallace has clasped his hands together around Akuwara's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Wallace will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Wallace decides to stand back up.

Akuwara tries to sprawl but Wallace drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Akuwara blocking the ground and pound attempt from Wallace.
Wallace stalling away here and it's allowed Akuwara to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Akuwara has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Wallace should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Akuwara has tightened it up now! Wallace should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Nishi Akuwara!
