Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Maddy Rock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Huey Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Freeman is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Leverage - Mister Universe. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freeman throws a leg kick that is checked
and Rock counters with a good low kick that Freeman was not able to check.
Rock slips a jab and a cross from Freeman.
Freeman throws a front kick aimed at Rock's knee but Rock avoids it well.
The crowd cheers as Freeman lands an impressive looking overhand right. Rock doesn't seem phased though.
Freeman avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Rock misses with a low kick as Freeman jumps back.
Freeman on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

and Rock counters with a thumping low kick.
Rock blocks a head kick by Freeman.
Freeman tries to work over Rock's front leg with a kick but Rock checks it.
Freeman tried to score with a low kick but Rock checks it.
Rock pivots, looking for a leg kick but Freeman is out of range and Rock settles back down.
Freeman thows a body shot but no joy.
Nice jab there from Freeman.
Rock chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Freeman can pounce on him.

and Rock counters with a thumping low kick.
Freeman tries to land a body kick
and Rock counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Freeman fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Freeman shoots in and bounces Rock off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Freeman won't allow Rock to get back to his feet.
Rock wants to sweep but no luck.
Rock is working hard here to advance position.
Freeman passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Rock tries to improve position but can't.

Freeman postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Rock is looking to reverse the position.
Freeman lands a nice forearm strike.
Freeman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rock is looking for a sweep.
The strikes coming from Freeman are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Rock tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Freeman wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Freeman lands a nice short elbow.

Freeman thows a huge punch but Rock dodges it nicely.
Freeman tries to pass the half guard into mount. Rock knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rock is looking for a sweep. Freeman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Rock is staying active underneath Freeman, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Freeman misses with a head shot. Rock uses the momentum to regain guard.
Freeman stands and throws Rock's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rock manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Freeman has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Rock defend it? Freeman steps over the head and cranks it - Rock is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Freeman!
