14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eddie O Hare! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Reed Andrews and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! O Hare lands with a straight right. Hughs didn't see that one coming. Hughs closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. O Hare blocks the elbow strike.
O Hare working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Hughs misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from O Hare.
Hughs tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and O Hare avoids it. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Hughs just misses with a elbow thrown towards O Hare's brow. Hughs misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from O Hare.

Hughs is rocked! O Hare with a nice cross. Oh Hughs is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! O Hare moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hughs wants to clinch. O Hare looks to score with a jab to the body but Hughs is just out of range. O Hare misses the shot to the body. Hughs seems to have got his legs back now. Hughs tries to clinch there but O Hare circles away.
O Hare closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hughs to the mat! Hughs manages to get full guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. O Hare trying to control the position from guard on top but Hughs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. O Hare in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. O Hare throws a big right hand that misses. Hughs keeping moving, preventing O Hare from controlling successfully. O Hare missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Hughs working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from O Hare. O Hare passes easily into side control. Nice work. O Hare working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
That's two minutes gone in the round. O Hare in side control, throwing shots but Hughs defends. Sloppy strikes there by O Hare. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. O Hare looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. O Hare is looking to take a break and control but Hughs is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. O Hare advances to mount.

O Hare moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Hughs has worked his arm free - good work by Hughs!

That's four minutes gone in the round. O Hare decides to stand up, so the ref orders Hughs to his feet. Hughs misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
O Hare connects with a leg kick. Hughs looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Hughs tries to clinch but O Hare is having none of it. Hughs tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but O Hare paws at him with a jab and circles away. Hughs throws a leg kick but O Hare sees it coming and moves out of range. Hughs misses with a low kick. O Hare swings away with a body shot that misses
and Hughs cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. O Hare tries to work over Hughs's front leg with a kick but Hughs checks it. Hughs misses with a double jab.

Eddie O Hare showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

He's obviously looking to slow Hughs down. O Hare is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Hughs rather than just go for the knockout. Nice combo by O Hare! Oh, that's hurt him - Hughs falls to the canvas and O Hare follows him into side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! O Hare throws an elbow but Hughs slips to the side and avoids it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. O Hare lands a few punches from side control. Hughs tries to improve position but can't. O Hare tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. O Hare trying to control the action but Hughs is working from the bottom. Eddie O Hare has got the better of the ground game so far. O Hare tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. O Hare is looking to take a break and control but Hughs is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. O Hare tries to advance to mount but Hughs denies him. Hughs sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. O Hare has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's three minutes gone in the round. O Hare throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Nice strikes from O Hare there. O Hare stalling. O Hare tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Hughs. Hughs blocking the ground and pound attempt from O Hare. Hughs makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hughs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. O Hare wants to control from the top but Hughs keeps moving. O Hare advances position into side control! O Hare throwing strikes but Hughs manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. O Hare is trying to improve his position. O Hare is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Eddie O Hare comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think O Hare has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
