Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Toma Takahara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Watson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Watson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. B. Pumper - I'm Comin Wit It kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Toma Takahara! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thomas Watson! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takahara throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Takahara throws a body punch but Watson moves out of range. Takahara steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Watson. Watson swings for the body but Takahara moves out of range.
Takahara misses with a head kick.
Watson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Takahara can pounce on him.
Takahara uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Watson. Watson misses with a leg kick and Takahara counters with a good low kick that Watson was not able to check. Takahara throws a low kick but it's checked well by Watson. Takahara's jab looks to have found its range, popping Watson under the eye.
It looks like Thomas Watson has been cut. Takahara swings away with a leg kick that misses. Watson with a body punch. A glancing blow. Watson fails in his attempt to clinch. A jab lands there for Watson. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Takahara connects with a body shot that sends Watson's belly button to the back. Watson lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Watson closes the distance looking to clinch and Takahara counters with an inside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takahara throws a leg kick but Watson moved away. A good leg kick by Takahara. Takahara scoring well with a low kick there.
Watson wants to clinch. Takahara throws a hook to the side of Watson's head but Watson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Takahara throws a quick inside leg kick. Takahara looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Thomas Watson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Watson tries to clinch but Takahara moves out of range. Takahara keeps the fight on the outside. Takahara ducks right into an uppercut from Watson. Watson wants to clinch. Watson works the jab nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Takahara takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Watson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Takahara counters with a left to the body. Watson moves out of range as Takahara throws a body kick.
Watson tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Watson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Takahara lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Watson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Takahara really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Takahara lands a nice uppercut. Watson lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Takahara lands an uppercut. Watson throws a head punch that misses. Watson working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Watson working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Takahara is rocked! A nice glancing elbow lands by Watson. Oh Takahara is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Watson has Takahara pressed against the cage. He pushes Takahara back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Watson throws a beautiful elbow that sends Takahara crashing to the floor! Watson piles on the pressure with more strikes! Takahara is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Thomas Watson! Our winner, Thomas Watson, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
