Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marley Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maruder Newman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Newman 's choice of entrance music: Stary Olsa - Litvin. Maruder Newman struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Marley Bob could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Maruder Newman 's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Newman tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bob sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Newman somewhat. Newman looks for a takedown but Bob sprawls well. Newman misses with a takedown attempt - Bob sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Marley Bob has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maruder Newman . Bob misses with a head kick.
Newman fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Newman shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bob but Bob pushes him off and we're back to square one. Newman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bob avoids it really well and circles away. Bob fails with a takedown attempt. No luck for Newman with that takedown attempt.

Newman shoots in but Bob avoids the takedown attempt easily. Bob looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Newman is fending him off so far but Bob persists. Nope, Newman circles away and we're back to standing. Newman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bob sprawls well. Bob wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Newman gets slowly back to his feet. Bob decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Bob is looking to take a break and control but Newman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Newman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bob is working away from the top position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Newman flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Bob stalling away here and it's allowed Newman to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Newman is adopting a defensive guard. Newman 's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Maruder Newman . Newman has managed to clinch.
Newman tries to score a body lock takedown but Bob shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Newman wants to take the fight to the mat but Bob manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Newman has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bob is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Bob tries for a takedown. No joy.
Newman works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Newman decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bob, up you get! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Newman shoots in but Bob avoids the takedown attempt easily. Maruder Newman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Newman has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bob finds it's way round the side to connect with Newman 's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Bob shoots in and gets a takedown into Newman 's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Bob trying to control the position from guard on top but Newman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bob has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Newman is proving hard to escape from. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Newman shoots in looking for a takedown. Bob tries to sprawl out of it but Newman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bob manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Newman fails with the takedown. Sloppy strikes from Bob. Those never looked like landing. Bob will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Bob shoots in for a takedown but Newman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
