Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mateus Allen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Borys Grabowski! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Emerson Jorge and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A shot to the liver by Grabowski. Beautiful body shot. Grabowski moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Allen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Grabowski swats him away and circles back towards the center. Grabowski throws a nice looking combination but Allen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Grabowski takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Danga de danga de dang - Grabowski scores with a four punch combination! Grabowski jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Allen takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A combination from Allen does no damage. Grabowski throws a wild body kick that Allen sees coming a mile off. Grabowski dodges the punch combination from Allen.
Allen looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Grabowski tries to roll over but Allen keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grabowski is staying active underneath Allen, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Still in half guard, Allen seems content to control. Ground and pound from Allen. Allen seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Allen has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Allen punching from mount but Grabowski doing a good job of avoiding damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Allen sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Allen cracks Grabowski with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Grabowski with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mateus Allen dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mateus Allen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Grabowski is trying to force a seperation but Allen has the dominant position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Mateus Allen. Grabowski walks into a stiff left hand from Allen. Grabowski moves out of range as Allen strikes. Allen loads up on a big right hand but Grabowski slips the punch. Grabowski thows a left - swing and a miss! Grabowski misses with a kick to the body.
Allen scores a takedown into full mount! Allen content just to control the position here. Allen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Allen seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Grabowski for as long as he can get away with.

And that's the end of the fight! Mateus Allen showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Allen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
