Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nolan Sackett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Botello (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sackett comes to the cage accompanied by Bad To the Bone. Botello is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Candlekeep. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nolan Sackett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Botello! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Luis Engracia and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Botello misses with a double jab.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sackett. Botello does a little dance to reset his feet. Sackett misses with a body shot.
Botello moves in looking to clinch but Sackett pushes him off. Botello closes the distance but Sackett moves to the side and Sackett counters with a good low kick that Botello was not able to check. Sackett checks a leg kick. Botello swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sackett counters with a one-two to the body. Botello is looking to clinch. Botello wants to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. A chopping leg kick lands by Sackett. Sackett ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Botello moves away. A leg kick checked by Botello. Botello fails in his attempt to clinch. Botello looks for the body kick but Sackett saw that one coming. Botello throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Sackett counters with a lovely shot to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Botello throws a left and a right that both miss
and Sackett counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Botello is looking to clinch but Sackett is avoiding it.
Sackett throws out a loose jab but Botello uses good head movement to avoid it. No luck for Sackett with that takedown attempt. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Sackett, right into the meat.
Botello tries to clinch but Sackett moves out of range. Botello fails in his attempt to clinch. Sackett blocks a head kick by Botello.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sackett tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Botello was well out of range. Poor timing from Sackett. A head kick misses from Botello. Botello has taken the fight to the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Sackett pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Botello darts in and clinches Sackett up against the cage. Botello has Sackett pressed against the cage, preventing Sackett from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Sackett looking for a takedown. Sackett pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Botello tries to bum rush Sackett with a series of wild strikes but Sackett uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Sackett steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Botello. Botello throws a head kick but Sackett moves out of range.
Sackett throws a right hand that misses
and Botello counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sackett throws a solid leg kick but Botello takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Sackett. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but John Botello will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Botello throws a lazy right hand but Sackett sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Botello throws the left hand but Sackett avoids the punch easily. Sackett is looking to score with low kicks. Botello fails with the takedown. Botello looks to land a combination but Sackett avoids it well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Botello takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Botello tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sackett paws at him with a jab and circles away. Sackett rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Botello counters with a lovely shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Botello fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sackett, pushing him back against the cage. Sackett is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Botello gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Sackett.
Sackett's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Botello walks into a straight right hand from Sackett. Sackett jabbing away but nothing is landing. Botello is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Nolan Sackett is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Botello throws a sloppy head kick and Sackett moves out of range easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sackett blocks a head kick by Botello.
A combination from Sackett does no damage. Sackett misses with a straight right. Botello throws a hook but Sackett avoids it easily. Botello throws a lazy body kick and Sackett counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Sackett lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Sackett throws a nice looking combination but Botello bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Sackett is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sackett defending well as Botello loads up on a big left hand. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. A combination from Sackett does no damage. Sackett throws a series of punches but Botello avoids them all with ease. Botello ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Botello throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Sackett is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Botello's half guard. Sackett missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sackett is working for a kimura but Botello is defending it quite comfortably.
Sackett has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Sackett is looking to take a break and control but Botello is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Sackett is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Sackett thows a huge punch but Botello dodges it nicely.
Sackett working over Botello with some ground and pound. Botello looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nolan Sackett dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Sackett scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Sackett swinging wildly here.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sackett. Botello throws a predictable looking body shot
and Sackett counters with a slapping leg kick. Sackett scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Botello throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Botello throws a body punch but Sackett moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sackett avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Sackett misses with a wild combination.
Sackett fails to land the takedown. Botello gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Sackett escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Sackett throws a jab when Botello was well out of range. Some bone on bone action there as Botello checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Botello throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Sackett counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Botello tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Sackett manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Donk. Sackett catches Botello right on the button with a cross. Sackett dodges the punch combination from Botello.
Sackett throws a low kick but Botello moves out of range easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sackett bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Sackett will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Botello moves away from the strike by Sackett. Sackett swats away the attempt to clinch by Botello. Botello pulls out of a head kick attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Botello misses with a two punch combination.
Sackett stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sackett wants it to stay on the feet. Sackett misses the shot to the body. Botello doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Botello tries to clinch but Sackett is having none of it. Botello on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Botello doesn't manage to clinch there - Sackett circles away.
And that's the end of the fight! Nolan Sackett showed his dominance in that final round. I think Sackett has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Nolan Sackett wins by unanimous decision! After the fight, Nolan Sackett was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
