Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bjj Spar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Brealey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bjj Spar! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alex Brealey! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spar misses the shot to the body. Brealey thows a body shot but no joy. Spar fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Brealey manages to avoid it. Brealey catches Spar with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Brealey takes a swing at Spar's ribcage but misses. Spar tries to land a front kick but Brealey steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Spar with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Brealey misses with a left hand and Spar counters with a head kick. That will keep Brealey thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Brealey misses the body punch and Spar counters with a good low kick that Brealey was not able to check. Spar gets a double leg takedown into Brealey's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Spar throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Spar wants to control from the top but Brealey keeps moving. Brealey is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Spar pulls his head out easily. Spar seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Brealey does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Brealey wants to improve his position but Spar is controlling well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Spar throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Brealey works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Brealey is trying to control the position but Spar postures up. Spar throwing strikes from guard but Brealey blocks nicely. Brealey is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Spar postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Brealey keeping moving, preventing Spar from controlling successfully. Brealey is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Spar is controlling him. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Spar stays in close to Brealey's body and controls the position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Brealey looks to land a combination but Spar avoids it well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Spar takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Spar's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Brealey connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Spar scrambles back to his feet. Spar misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Brealey throws a series of punches but Spar moves out of range. Spar moves out of range as Brealey strikes. Spar takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Spar gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Brealey misses with an uppercut. Spar saw that one coming. Spar tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Brealey was well out of range. Poor timing from Spar. Spar will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Spar feints and as Brealey raises his hands in defense, Spar changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Spar got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brealey has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Spar has managed to get both his arms back between Brealey's legs - danger averted. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Spar with a flurry of punches that miss. Spar has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Brealey finds it's way round the side to connect with Spar's head. Spar thows a left - swing and a miss! Nice body punch from Spar. Spar shoots in for a takedown but Brealey shows good takedown defense. Brealey cracks Spar with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Alex Brealey seems to be getting the better of the standup. The fighters circling - Brealey throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Brealey slips a straight right by Spar.

It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. Spar throws a lazy body kick and Brealey counters with a nice uppercut. Brealey throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A cross from Brealey lands. Brealey lands a nice shot to the body.
Brealey lands with an overhand left. Brealey throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Brealey throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Spar shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bjj Spar. That's going to take a lot out of him. Spar connects with a looping right hand.

That sent Spar stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Decent striking displayed by Brealey there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Spar scores with a punch to the head. Brealey lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Spar looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Brealey misses with a few strikes there.
