0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Antonio Viviano! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Viviano keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ballard. Viviano tries to clinch up letting Ballard counter with a right hand. Viviano moves in looking to clinch but Ballard pushes him off. Viviano looks to clinch and Ballard connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Viviano fails in his attempt to clinch. Ballard shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Viviano is trying to defend but Ballard finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Viviano is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ballard scores with a couple of nice shots. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ballard looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. This has been an exciting period of action!
That's one minute gone in the round. Ballard works his way into full mount! Ballard controlling the position easily from mount. Viviano tries to lock up and control but Ballard gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Ballard controlling from the full mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Viviano is looking to improve his position but Ballard isn't that keen on the idea. Ballard controlling the pace for now. You get the feeling that Viviano really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Ballard controlling his opponent. Ballard landing strikes from the mount and Viviano is in trouble! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ballard is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Viviano can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ballard controlling from the full mount. Ballard lands a big shot there that rocks Viviano but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Ballard has isolated one of Viviano's arms. Viviano looking to fight him off but Ballard twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
