And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sakurai Sato!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sato has taken the fight to the clinch.
Davidson takes a shot to the head.

Sato gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Sato trying to control but Davidson is working from the bottom.
Davidson wants to get back to his feet but Sato is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Sato missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Davidson has his feet on Sato's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Sato scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Davidson takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Davidson managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Sato.
Sato tries to score with some ground and pound. Davidson controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Sato wants to lay and pray for a moment but Davidson keeps working.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sato keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Davidson 's head.
Sato makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Davidson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Davidson wants it to stay on the feet.

Davidson gets tackled into the cage by Sato. Sato maintains the clinch.

Sato has Davidson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Sato pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Davidson tumbling to the mat - Sato dives into Davidson 's guard.

Sato stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Davidson throws up his legs and catches Sato in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Sato tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Davidson ! That came out of nowhere!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Tim Davidson !
