PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Foti Vasa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vinnie Vector (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vasa comes to the cage accompanied by Highway to Hell (AC/DC). Vector has chosen Hollywood Undead-Undead as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vector circles away from the clinch attempt.
Vector displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Vasa.
Vector tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Vector has closed the distance and engaged Vasa in a clinch.
A short uppercut from Vector.
A knee to the head by Vector.
Vasa has Vector pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Vector manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Vector throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Vasa drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Vector gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Vector tries to close the distance and clinch but Vasa swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Foti Vasa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Vector lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Vasa is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Vector struggles to land a body shot inside as Vasa controls his hands.
Vasa blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Vasa manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Vector manages to get himself to full guard.
Vasa throws a strike but Vector rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Vasa controls Vector momentarily but Vector frees himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vector drives through and clinches with Vasa against the cage.

Vasa tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Vector just stands there and leans against the cage.

Vasa manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Vasa lands a heavy elbow.
Vector tries to buck Vasa off but he can't manage it.

Vasa won't let Vector get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Vector really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vasa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
