Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Kang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Ooka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paulo Kang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Ooka!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ooka takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Kang misses with a looping right.
Ooka shoots in but Kang avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Nice defenses there by Ooka.
Ooka with a jab.
Ooka needs to keep his hands up - Kang had a free shot at his head there.


It looks like Paul Ooka has been cut.
Kang throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Ooka keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kang takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Ooka scoring well with a low kick there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kang tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Nice straight punches there by Ooka. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Ooka.
Kang throws a looping overhand right but Ooka ducks down to avoid it.
Ooka ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kang moves away.

Ooka shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kang is trying to defend but Ooka finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Ooka not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Kang wants to improve his position but Ooka is controlling well.
Ooka tries to pass to full mount but Kang defends it.
Kang tries to get to full guard but Ooka has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ooka wants to pass the guard but Kang is defending well.

Ooka is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Ooka landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Ooka is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Still in half guard, Ooka seems content to control.

Ooka is pressing down on Kang's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kang is holding on for now.

Ooka looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Kang gets full guard.
Ooka tries to free his leg and advance position but Kang is retaining full guard.

Ooka postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ooka slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Kang tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ooka wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Ooka postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ooka throws an elbow but Kang slips to the side and avoids it well.
Ooka wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kang keeps working.
Who's going to make the next move?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ooka shoots for a takedown but Kang saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ooka throws a big shot that misses.
Ooka scores with a jab to the head.
Kang looks to throw the jab but Ooka is out of range.
Kang throws a leg kick but Ooka moved away.
Kang tries to clinch but Ooka is having none of it.
Ooka fails with a takedown attempt.

Good work by Ooka as he checks the leg kick.
Ooka keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Ooka gets tackled into the cage by Kang. Kang maintains the clinch.

Ooka wants a takedown but no success here.
Paulo Kang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Ooka.
Kang blocks the elbow strike.
Kang is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Kang lands a body punch.
Kang blocks a body shot from Ooka.
Kang lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Ooka backwards.

Ooka has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Kang is trying to keep an underhook but Ooka manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Kang wants to get back to full guard.

Ooka is looking for a kimura but Kang is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ooka to get the leverage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kang wants to control but Ooka is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Ooka has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Ooka throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Ooka trying to control from half guard but Kang is working away.
Ooka is nestled in close to Kang, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Ooka lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Kang is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ooka's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ooka's back!
Kang is hanging on to Ooka's back as he tries to escape.
Kang doesn't have the hooks in and Ooka manages to turn into his guard.
Kang tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Ooka with a flurry of punches that miss.
Ooka stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kang swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kang knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ooka on the ground.
Kang pulls Ooka in close to his closed guard and prevents Ooka from doing any damage or advancing position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kang wants to sweep but no luck.
Ooka trying to control but Kang is working from the bottom.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Kang is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Ooka wants to control but Kang is keeping busy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ooka gets back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Paul Ooka showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


The fight stays on the outside here - Kang looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ooka uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kang has time to react.
Ooka takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Ooka has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Kang tests Ooka's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Ooka shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kang's guard.
Ooka slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Ooka is working Kang over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Ooka trying to control the position from guard on top but Kang is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ooka throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kang works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kang holds on and takes a little breather.
Ooka seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Ooka connects with a couple of short punches.
Paulo Kang has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Kang wants to sweep but no luck.
Ooka trying to control the position from guard on top but Kang is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Ooka might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kang kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Paul Ooka was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Kang fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ooka manages to avoid it.
A good leg kick by Ooka.

Ooka scores with a nice right hand.
Paulo Kang is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kang misses with a body kick.
Some bone on bone action there as Ooka checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Ooka scores with a hook.
Ooka avoids the body shot from Kang.
Ooka lands with a kick to the ribs.
Ooka displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kang throws out the jab.
Kang takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.


Kang is rocked!

Ooka shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Ooka was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Oh Kang is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ooka controlling the pace for now.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Ooka! Kang is hurt baaadly! Ooka is firing away with more strikes - Kang is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paul Ooka!
Paul Ooka decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
