Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Carlos Rodriguez!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Emerson Jorge and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hoolio throws a jab but it's blocked by Rodriguez.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rodriguez is defended easily by Hoolio.
Rodriguez misses with a takedown attempt
and Hoolio counters by moving into the clinch.
Rodriguez wants a takedown.
Jezus Hoolio has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Rodriguez.
Hoolio is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Rodriguez can't fight it off and eventually Hoolio manages to take the fight to the floor. Rodriguez looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Hoolio stands up and waves to Rodriguez to follow him.
Hoolio shoots in for a double leg but Rodriguez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Rodriguez misses with a takedown attempt
and Hoolio decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rodriguez's guard.
Hoolio has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hoolio wants to control from the top but Rodriguez keeps moving.

Rodriguez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hoolio is working away from the top position though.

Rodriguez is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hoolio scores with a couple of nice shots.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hoolio in particular looking to stall.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rodriguez has hold of Hoolio's hands but Hoolio slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Hoolio is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Hoolio content to control rather than advance.
Hoolio is nestled in close to Rodriguez, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Rodriguez is defending against the submission attempts here by Hoolio.
Hoolio looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Hoolio is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hoolio passes to side control.
Hoolio trying to control the action but Rodriguez is working from the bottom.

Hoolio in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Hoolio lands a decent elbow from side control.
Rodriguez is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Hoolio is controlling him well.
Hoolio lands a few punches from side control.
Rodriguez tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hoolio wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Hoolio really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hoolio has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Rodriguez is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Hoolio yanks on the arm and Rodriguez is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Hoolio.
