Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seigo Okazawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronan Baeta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Okazawa comes to the cage accompanied by Monster. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Seigo Okazawa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ronan Baeta! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Leandro Rodrigues and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Okazawa shoots in for a takedown and gets it. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Baeta trying to hold on to Okazawa's head to control him but Okazawa postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Okazawa sitting and controlling from the half guard. Baeta wants to sweep but Okazawa has passed to side control! Okazawa tries to advance to mount but can't. You can see the frustration on Baeta's face as Okazawa controls the position. Okazawa seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Baeta for as long as he can get away with.
That's one minute gone in the round. Okazawa scores with a couple of short elbows. Baeta struggling a bit here. Baeta seems a little lost for a moment, as Okazawa dominates the positioning. Baeta tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Okazawa sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Baeta tries to reverse the position but Okazawa maintains control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Okazawa takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Okazawa working Baeta over with strikes here. Okazawa controlling the pace for now. Okazawa stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Okazawa gets a double leg takedown into Baeta's guard. Baeta can't keep his opponent in guard - Okazawa advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Okazawa tries to pass the half guard into mount. Baeta knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Okazawa slows the pace down in half guard. Okazawa has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Baeta trying to control from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, Okazawa seems content to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Seigo Okazawa just wasn't active enough. Baeta throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Baeta wants to clinch. Baeta shoots in for a takedown but Okazawa shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Okazawa closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Baeta's guard. Okazawa controlling from the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Baeta trying to control the position.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Okazawa seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Baeta wants to sweep here but Okazawa controlling him for the moment. Okazawa is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Seigo Okazawa wasn't doing enough on the ground. Okazawa looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Baeta! Okazawa has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Baeta's face.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Okazawa controlling his opponent. Okazawa's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The ref stands the fighters back up because Seigo Okazawa just wasn't active enough. Okazawa scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Okazawa perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Baeta is looking for a sweep. Okazawa is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Okazawa controlling the pace. Okazawa is pressing down on Baeta's thigh, looking to free his foot. Baeta is holding on for now.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Baeta is trying to stand.
Still in half guard, Okazawa seems content to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Seigo Okazawa just wasn't active enough. Baeta takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
It looks like Ronan Baeta has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Okazawa dips to his left and cracks Baeta with an uppercut! Baeta takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Baeta looks gassed! Okazawa waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Baeta. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Baeta to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Baeta is rocked! Okazawa advances to half guard. Baeta is still in real trouble! Can Okazawa finish him? Okazawa trying to control the pace. Okazawa decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Okazawa lands a huge takedown. Baeta is out but the ref is slow to react and Okazawa lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Baeta lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 9:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Seigo Okazawa! Seigo Okazawa seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
