Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between King Leonidas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Vargas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leonidas kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Spartan Warriors. Vargas has chosen Strong Will Continue -- Damian Marley as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, King Leonidas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alex Vargas! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Anthony Taglia and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leonidas throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Leonidas takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Good leg kick by Vargas there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Vargas fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Vargas avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A jab from Leonidas misses. Leonidas is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Leonidas scores with a jab to the jaw. Leonidas throws a hook to the side of Vargas's head but Vargas sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Leonidas lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Vargas misses with a low kick. Leonidas fails to land with a series of punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vargas fails with the takedown. Vargas shoots for a double leg takedown but Leonidas sprawls well. He's pushed Vargas's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Vargas throws a wild body kick that Leonidas sees coming a mile off. Leonidas darts in and clinches Vargas up against the cage. A head punch on the inside from Leonidas fails to land. Leonidas misses with the head strike.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Leonidas. Vargas pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Vargas looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Leonidas connects with a crisp jab. Leonidas fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vargas catches Leonidas with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Vargas will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Leonidas throws a right and a left that both miss. Leonidas tries to clinch there but Vargas circles away.
Vargas drives through with a takedown into Leonidas's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Leonidas throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Vargas escapes and throws Leonidas's legs to the side, diving into side control! Leonidas avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Vargas. Vargas working the ground and pound but Leonidas is defending the strikes. Leonidas is looking for a sweep. Leonidas is trying to buck Vargas off. Vargas has hold of Leonidas's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Leonidas seems comfortable defending it but Vargas has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Leonidas is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Leonidas is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Vargas couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Alex Vargas! As Alex Vargas got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: The Phenom continues his reign as the greatest bantamweight of all time. Anyone else claiming this is a pretender. '.
