Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Emory Majors (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Janjak Boran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boran is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Lief Klein Konijntje. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Janjak Boran!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Chad Campbell and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boran misses with a hook.
Boran fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Majors.
Boran keeps the fight on the outside.
Majors shoots in and drives through. Boran sprawls well.
Majors looks to land a combination but Boran avoids it well.
Nice uppercut there from Boran.
Nice body kick from Boran.
Majors looks to land a combination but Boran avoids it well.
Boran chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Boran lands a nice leg kick that just misses Majors's sensitive parts.
Boran misses with an uppercut. Majors saw that one coming.
Majors on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Boran throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Majors counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Horrible takedown by Majors or perhaps it was just good defense by Boran which made him look bad.
Majors takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Majors's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Boran connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Majors scrambles back to his feet.
Boran looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Majors tries to clinch but Boran is having none of it.
Majors wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Boran lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Boran feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Majorss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Boran throws a sloppy head kick and Majors moves out of range easily.
Boran dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Majors. That did some damage!
A left and a right from Boran both land. Nice combination.


Majors is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Majors takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Majors misses with a double jab.
Majors has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Boran.
Boran stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Boran throws a wild body kick that Majors sees coming a mile off.
Majors throws a right hand that Boran ducks under and follows up with a left that Boran also avoids with ease.
The fighters circling - Boran throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Boran connects with an inside leg kick.
Boran lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Boran turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Majors tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Boran was well out of range. Poor timing from Majors.
Majors wants to clinch.
Boran throws a hook to the side of Majors's head but Majors sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Boran is looking to land body kicks.
Boran lands with a kick to the temple. Majors shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Boran scores with a nice body kick.
Boran thuds his right hand into Majors's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Boran throws a head kick but Majors moves out of range.
No joy there for Boran, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Majors shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Boran's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Boran can't keep his opponent in guard - Majors advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Boran wants to get back to full guard.
Boran avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Majors.
Majors takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Majors is keen to just control but Boran is a slippery customer.
Majors is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Majors has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Boran's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Boran is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Janjak Boran dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Majors looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Majors avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Majors tries a head kick but it misses.
Majors wants to clinch up but Boran keeps it at a distance.
Boran lands a nice hook to Majors's body. Majors takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Boran throws the left hand but Majors avoids the punch easily.
Majors slips a jab from Boran.
Boran misses with a two punch combination.
Majors misses with a low kick as Boran jumps back.
Boran throws a big shot that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Boran buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Boran throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Boran thuds his shin into the meat of Majors's side.
Boran swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Boran jabs Majors to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Boran connects with a right hand. Majors shakes it off.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Boran!
Majors with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Boran to score with a decent uppercut.
Emory Majors is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Boran misses with a left hand
and Majors counters with a left to the body.
Boran lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Boran throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Boran throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Majors counters with a head kick. That will keep Boran thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Boran looks to land a combination. Majors sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Majors is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Boran throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Boran lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Boran throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Majors on the side of the head.
Janjak Boran seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boran scores with a hook to the body. Majors takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Majors will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Boran thuds a left hand into Majors's body.
Majors throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Boran cracks the inside of Majors's front leg.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boran throws a combination. Majors tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Nice straight punches there by Boran. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Boran.
Majors takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Majors throws a right hand that Boran ducks under and follows up with a left that Boran also avoids with ease.
A nice leg kick lands there from Boran.
Boran has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Boran scores with a jab.
Majors ducks right into an uppercut from Boran.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Majors tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Boran counters with a straight right hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Janjak Boran showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Majors on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Boran scores with a head kick.
Oh Majors is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Majors fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Boran, pushing him back against the cage.
Majors seems to have got his legs back now.
Boran tries to stall but Majors uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Boran is trying to break the clinch but Majors has him pressed against the cage.
Boran lands with a light punch inside.

Boran breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Boran throws the left hand but Majors avoids the punch easily.
Majors gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Boran.
Boran connects with a crisp jab.
Boran swings away with a body shot that misses
and Majors counters with a nice body shot.
Majors shoots in for a double leg but Boran sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Boran thuds his right hand into Majors's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Good leg kick by Boran there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Jab by Boran.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Boran checks a leg kick.
Boran throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Boran lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Boran throws the left hand but Majors avoids the punch easily.
Boran moves out of range of the body kick from Majors.
Boran circles away from the clinch attempt
and Boran connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Boran connects with a body shot that sends Majors's belly button to the back.
Boran lands a jab to Majors's midsection.
Boran connects with the punch.
Boran thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Majors if he has to take too many more of those.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Boran smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

and Majors counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Boran thinking.
Boran fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Boran pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Boran lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Emory Majors has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Boran needs to keep his hands up - Majors had a free shot at his head there.

Majors takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Boran wants to clinch up but Majors keeps it at a distance.
Majors shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Boran defends it nicely.
Majors tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Boran manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Boran throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

so Majors counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Boran keeping moving, preventing Majors from controlling successfully.
Majors is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Boran is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Boran pulls Majors in close to prevent any damage.

Emory Majors has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Majors tries to land a front kick but Boran steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Boran avoids the body shot from Majors.

Majors clinches up with Boran and pushes him back against the cage.
A right handed body shot lands from Boran.

And that's the end of the fight!
Janjak Boran comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Boran winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
