The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanrahan looks to land a combination but Kewell avoids it well.
Kewell blocks a low kick nicely.
Hanrahan misses with a double jab.
Kewell decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Hanrahan looks gassed!
Kewell passes to side control.
Kewell scores with punches from side control.
Kewell creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kewell seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hanrahan for as long as he can get away with.
Kewell has hold of Hanrahan's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Hanrahan tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Kewell cranks the arm and Hanrahan screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Hanrahan, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Sonny Kewell!
Sonny Kewell tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
