Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Diaz! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boyd avoids the head kick by Diaz.
Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Boyd paws at him with a jab and circles away. Diaz shoots and misses and Boyd counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Diaz! If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Boyd throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. and Diaz counters with a low kick, right behind Boyd 's knee.

Cody Boyd is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Boyd rushes Diaz and presses him up against the cage. Boyd is pressed up against the cage. Diaz has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Boyd down to the mat. Boyd avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Diaz wants to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boyd rushes Diaz and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Diaz has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Boyd after a bit of a struggle. Diaz stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Cody Boyd. Well Boyd has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
