Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Prudente (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Leandro Rodrigues and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a series of strikes that have Prudente backpedaling.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Prudente swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Silva lands with a nice combination. Prudente backs away looking to recover.
Silva forces Prudente back against the cage and clinches.
Prudente is trying to trip Silva. He has hold of a leg but Silva is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Prudente persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Silva is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Prudente dives into side control.
Prudente is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Silva has escaped the position, nice work there.

Prudente has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Silva is pushing Prudente's head away, looking to escape. Prudente manages to hold on to the position though.

Silva tries to pull guard but Prudente forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Prudente wants the takedown. Silva is fighting it off but Prudente persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Silva's guard against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silva lands a nice shot to the body.
Prudente feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Prudente drops back looking for a leg! Silva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silva manages to kick Prudente off! Prudente jumps back into Silva's guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Silva is trying to stand.
Silva scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Prudente manages to mount him!
Silva is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Prudente is landing with some decent strikes but Silva is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Prudente manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Silva on his heels. He'll look to pass Silva's guard now, I'm sure.

Prudente wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working.

Silva takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Thiago Prudente overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Prudente cracks Silva with a big elbow.
Prudente just content to control the position.

Silva is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Prudente is controlling him well.
Prudente is working to tighten is grip on Silva's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Silva has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Prudente is really squeezing tight and eventually Silva passes out! Prudente breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
