Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Rynes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Omi Shuai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shuai comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Xiaolin Showdown kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Tyson Rynes could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Omi Shuai's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyson Rynes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Omi Shuai! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rynes shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Shuai pinned against the cage. Shuai gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Shuai displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Rynes. Shuai fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rynes shoots in looking for a takedown. Shuai tries to sprawl out of it but Rynes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shuai manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyson Rynes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shuai moves to clinch but Rynes breaks away and Rynes counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rynes. Rynes changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Shuai fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Shuai fails with a takedown attempt. Rynes closes this distance looking for a takedown but Shuai circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rynes throws a right and a left that both miss. Shuai fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rynes avoids it really well and circles away. Rynes shoots in but no luck this time. Rynes misses the shot to the body. Shuai tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Rynes manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Rynes fails to land the takedown. Rynes tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Shuai paws at him with a jab and circles away. Rynes shoots in for a takedown but Shuai shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Shuai shoots in for a takedown but Rynes shows good takedown defense. Shuai lands a high kick!
It looks like Tyson Rynes has been cut. Shuai changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rynes tries to avoid it but Shuai manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rynes to the ground. Rynes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Rynes takes the fight into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shuai displaying some good clinch control by pressing Rynes up against the cage. Shuai's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rynes shoots in looking for a takedown but Shuai manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rynes's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Shuai fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Shuai keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Rynes misses with a takedown attempt - Shuai sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rynes tries to keep at a distance but Shuai has taken the fight into the clinch. Rynes is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Shuai gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Shuai breaks from the clinch.
Tyson Rynes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shuai stuffs the takedown attempt from Rynes. Rynes gets slowly back to his feet. Rynes will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Rynes is breathing heavily. Nice takedown defense from Rynes. No joy for Shuai on that attempt. Shuai tries for a takedown but Rynes sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Shuai closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Rynes did well to prevent Shuai getting side control. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Shuai trying to control the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shuai tries to pass the half guard into mount. Rynes knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Shuai really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rynes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Omi Shuai has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Shuai fails miserably with a takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Omi Shuai dominated that round. The cut man is working on Tyson Rynes's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rynes looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Rynes shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Shuai counters with a head kick. That will keep Rynes thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Rynes moves to clinch but Shuai breaks away and Shuai counters with a flying knee that drops Rynes! Shuai dives in and finishes the fight with a flurry of strikes from the mount!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Omi Shuai!
