Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamal Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eli Crowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Reed Andrews and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holmes loads up on a big right hand but Crowe slips the punch.
Crowe moves into the clinch.
Holmes jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Crowe walks away with a smile on his face. Holmes gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Holmes takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Holmes throws a series of punches but Crowe moves out of range.
Crowe's corner calls for a 1-2. Crowe obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Holmes has Crowe up against the cage in a clinch.
Holmes changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Crowe fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Holmes steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Crowe. That one must have hurt.
Crowe connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Holmes looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Holmes throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Holmes swings for the body but Crowe moves out of range.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Holmes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jamal Holmes. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Crowe tries to close the distance and clinch but Holmes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Holmes cracks Crowe with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Crowe stuffs the takedown.
Crowe misses with a low kick as Holmes jumps back.
Holmes looks for a takedown but Crowe sprawls well.
Holmes swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Crowe counters with a good, hard body kick but Holmes shrugs it off.
Holmes is breathing heavily.

Holmes misses with a wild body shot.
Holmes takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
A slapping leg kick lands for Crowe.
Crowe lunges at Holmes with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Holmes's hand.
Crowe goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Crowe thumps Holmes with a low kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Crowe throws a nice outside leg kick.
Holmes takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Crowe lands a nice looking body kick.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Crowe.
Crowe connects with a leg kick. Holmes looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Holmes fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Crowe rushes Holmes and presses him up against the cage.

Eli Crowe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Crowe lands with a hook. Holmes tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Holmes on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Crowe lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Holmes will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Crowe buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Crowe wants to clinch up but Holmes keeps it at a distance.
Holmes takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

A chopping leg kick lands by Crowe.
Good leg kick by Crowe there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Crowe delivers a nice body kick.

Crowe connects with a leg kick. Holmes looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Crowe lands a jab to the head.
Crowe throws a leg kick which misses Holmes's front leg but catches the back leg as Holmes tries to avoid it.
Jamal Holmes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Crunch! Crowe slams his shin into Holmes's torso.
Holmes moves into the clinch.
Holmes managing to block the knees to the body from Crowe.

Crowe lands an elbow inside that Holmes shrugs off.
Holmes is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Crowe is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Holmes is defending well for now.
Holmes blocks an elbow strike.
Crowe misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Holmes.
Holmes wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Crowe looking to stall.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Holmes tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
A bit of stalling here from Crowe.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Crowe wants to stand but Holmes is controlling his posture from full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Holmes pushes a forearm under Crowe's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Crowe is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
