Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quala Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Piltz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Piltz has chosen I'm too Sexy as his entrance music. Mark Piltz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Quala Bear! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Piltz! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bear wants to land a leg kick but Piltz is out of range. Piltz shoots in but Bear avoids the takedown attempt easily. Bear throws out a leg kick but Piltz moves out of range and Bear only half commits. Piltz throws a body punch but Bear moves out of range. Bear looks to score with a jab to the body but Piltz is just out of range. Bear lands a nice looking body shot.
Quala Bear seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bear throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Piltz moves out of range as Bear throws a body kick.
A low kick from Piltz misses and Bear connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. A low kick from Bear misses and Piltz counters with an outside leg kick.
Bear avoids a punch combination nicely.
Piltz takes a swing at Bear's ribcage but misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Piltz moves in looking to clinch but Bear pushes him off. Bear avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bear throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Nice uppercut lands for Bear. That snapped Piltz's head back.
Bear will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Some bone on bone action there as Piltz checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. A looping hook to the body misses from Bear. Piltz does a little dance to reset his feet. Bear lands the left hand. Piltz gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Bear. A jab from Bear does it's job there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bear throws a nice looking combination but Piltz bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Bear throws a front kick aimed at Piltz's knee but Piltz avoids it well. Jab by Bear. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bear fails to land with a series of punches.
Bear is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Bear misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Piltz.
The fight stays on the outside here - Piltz looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Bear throws a right hand that Piltz ducks under and follows up with a left that Piltz also avoids with ease. Piltz scores with a jab to the jaw. Piltz is looking to clinch. Bear waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Piltz.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bear just misses with a punch to the body.
Quala Bear is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Piltz fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Bear checks it well. Bear misses with a low kick. Piltz throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Piltz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bear pinned against the ropes. Bear gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Piltz chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Piltz takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. A big right from Bear misses. Piltz throws a big shot that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Piltz throws a front kick aimed at Bear's knee but Bear avoids it well. A big right from Bear misses. Piltz misses with the combination.
Bear with a jab. Bear attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Bear misses with a leg kick. Piltz throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Bear counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Bear jabs Piltz right on the nose. Piltz blinks but takes it well. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bear misses with a wild body shot. Bear throws a low kick but Piltz avoids it. Piltz misses the shot to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Quala Bear dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A punch combination from Bear misses. Piltz fails in his attempt to clinch. The crowd cheers as Bear lands an impressive looking overhand right. Piltz doesn't seem phased though. Piltz uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bear.
Bear throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. A left and a right from Bear both land. Nice combination. Bear looks to land a left hand but Piltz moved out of range nicely. Piltz staying out of range there. Bear throws a right hand that Piltz ducks under and follows up with a left that Piltz also avoids with ease. Piltz throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Bear ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Bear lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bear fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. A punch combination from Piltz misses. Piltz misses with a two punch combination.
Bear swings for the body but Piltz moves out of range.

Bear is looking to chop away at Piltz's legs. Bear wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Bear lands with a thumping leg kick.
Piltz wants to clinch up but Bear keeps it at a distance. Bear misses with a body kick. Bear swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Piltz closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. Bear cracks Piltz with a nice body shot. This has been an exciting period of action! Bear lands a shoulder strike. Piltz looking to stall.
Piltz wants a takedown but no success here.
Bear has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Piltz misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Bear.
Piltz misses with a knee to the head. Piltz goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Piltz is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Bear is keeping busy. Bear working hard to break the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Piltz just misses with a elbow thrown towards Bear's brow. Bear avoiding damage as Piltz throws knees to the body.
Piltz swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Bear's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Piltz misses with a double jab
and Bear counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Piltz throws a right hand that Bear ducks under and follows up with a left that Bear also avoids with ease. Bear showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Piltz.
Piltz tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Bear manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bear throws an overhand right that lands on Piltz's shoulder, as Piltz tries to avoid the shot. Bear is looking to land body kicks. Good work by Piltz as he checks the leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bear manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Piltz throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Piltz with a body punch. A glancing blow. Bear misses with a straight right. Piltz lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bear's sensitive parts. Piltz tries to bum rush Bear with a series of wild strikes but Bear uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Bear walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Piltz checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Piltz throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bear.

Bear lands with a nice body punch. Piltz misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bear throws out a loose jab but Piltz uses good head movement to avoid it. Piltz closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bear's guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Piltz is fighting to break Bear's control of his arms but Bear is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Bear keeping full guard, as Piltz tries to pass.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Piltz trying to control but Bear is working from the bottom. Piltz loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Piltz wants to control from the top but Bear keeps moving. Quala Bear is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Piltz scores with a one two! Bear had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Piltz throws a series of punches but Bear avoids them all with ease. A telegraphed right hand from Bear misses the target. Piltz closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bear circles away. Mark Piltz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bear cracks a nice hook into Piltz's ribs. Quala Bear is winning the standup battle so far.

and Bear connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Piltz takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Piltz closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Piltz takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Piltz swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Piltz shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Bear cracks Piltz with an open hand slap. Bear lands a nice leg kick that just misses Piltz's sensitive parts. Bear changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Piltz misses with a double jab.
Bear looks for the body kick but Piltz saw that one coming.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Quala Bear. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bear, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
