Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grisha Kamenov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Theopolis Barrymore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kamenov might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Linkin Park - Bleed it Out. Barrymore has chosen The Thing That Should Not Be as his entrance music. Theopolis Barrymore has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Grisha Kamenov!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Theopolis Barrymore!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Donatello Bradman and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Kamenov as Barrymore shoots in.
Kamenov tries to clinch up
and Barrymore moves into the clinch.
Barrymore avoids the elbow strike from Kamenov, against the ropes.
Barrymore is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Kamenov gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Kamenov has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Barrymore avoids a wild elbow strike from Kamenov.
Kamenov looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Kamenov throws an elbow that misses.
Barrymore breaks the clinch.
Barrymore closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kamenov quickly recovers to half guard.
Kamenov is defending against the submission attempts here by Barrymore.
Barrymore stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Kamenov to get to his feet.
Barrymore throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kamenov's waist but Kamenov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Barrymore off to one side.
Grisha Kamenov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Theopolis Barrymore.

Kamenov tries to bum rush Barrymore with a series of wild strikes but Barrymore uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kamenov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kamenov gets caught flat footed, as Barrymore shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Barrymore slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Kamenov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Kamenov looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Barrymore passes into side control.

Kamenov is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The referee asks Barrymore politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Barrymore prefers to stall for the moment though.
Barrymore thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Barrymore decides to stand up, so the ref orders Kamenov to his feet.
Barrymore clinches with his opponent.
Barrymore throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Kamenov blocks it with crossed arms.
The referee calls for Barrymore to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kamenov lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Barrymore is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes.
Barrymore is trying to trip Kamenov. He has hold of a leg but Kamenov is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Barrymore persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Barrymore tries to stand but Kamenov is controlling from the bottom.
Barrymore stands and steps away. Kamenov gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Barrymore throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kamenov tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Barrymore is in Kamenov's guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Barrymore scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Barrymore trying to control the position from guard on top but Kamenov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Theopolis Barrymore wasn't active enough on the ground.
Kamenov wants to clinch up but Barrymore keeps it at a distance.
Horrible takedown by Barrymore or perhaps it was just good defense by Kamenov which made him look bad.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kamenov looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kamenov keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

so Barrymore counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Theopolis Barrymore dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Barrymore misses with a takedown attempt - Kamenov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Barrymore shoots in looking for a takedown. Kamenov tries to sprawl out of it but Barrymore keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Kamenov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Barrymore shoots in but no luck this time.
Grisha Kamenov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Theopolis Barrymore.
Kamenov tries a head kick but it misses.
Kamenov is looking to slow Barrymore down with leg kicks.

Grisha Kamenov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Barrymore showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kamenov.
Kamenov throws a lazy right hand but Barrymore sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kamenov tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Barrymore manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kamenov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Barrymore will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kamenov displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Barrymore.
Barrymore is breathing heavily.
Kamenov tries to clinch up
and Barrymore decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kamenov's guard.
Barrymore wants to stand and escape but instead Kamenov has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Kamenov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Barrymore swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kamenov is sitting in close to Barrymore's body. Barrymore has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Kamenov is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Kamenov is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Barrymore.
