Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hervoton Kyrpa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ed Gruberman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hervoton Kyrpa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ed Gruberman! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gruberman fails with the takedown. Gruberman tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kyrpa swivels and escapes. Kyrpa keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Hervoton Kyrpa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ed Gruberman. Gruberman fails to land the takedown. Kyrpa closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Gruberman tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Gruberman prevents Kyrpa from breaking the clinch. Kyrpa tries to score a body lock takedown but Gruberman shows good agility there to stay on his feet. A short left from Kyrpa. Gruberman tries to stall but Kyrpa uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Gruberman tries to pull guard but Kyrpa holds him up against the cage and eventually Gruberman drops back down to his feet.
Gruberman drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kyrpa pulls his leg out and moves away.
Gruberman shoots in and drives through. Kyrpa sprawls well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kyrpa has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kyrpa is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Gruberman is fighting off a takedown attempt but Kyrpa is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Gruberman to the mat. Gruberman regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Gruberman working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kyrpa. Kyrpa landing some decent shots from guard. Gruberman looking for a sweep. Not yet Gruberman, not yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kyrpa looking to pass the guard. Kyrpa advances to half guard. Kyrpa thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Gruberman actively working from the bottom here. Gruberman looks gassed! Kyrpa is trying to control the action in half guard but Gruberman is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Kyrpa has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kyrpa looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Gruberman with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Kyrpa prevents Gruberman from improving his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kyrpa keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Kyrpa misses with a head shot. Gruberman uses the momentum to regain guard. Kyrpa is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Kyrpa tries to free his leg and advance position but Gruberman is retaining full guard. Gruberman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kyrpa trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Kyrpa postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kyrpa fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Gruberman has his takedown stuffed and Gruberman takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kyrpa drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kyrpa is chipping away with strikes.
Kyrpa tries to move to mount but Gruberman blocks the move with his legs. Gruberman is trying to control Kyrpa's posture but Kyrpa avoids it. Kyrpa lands a decent elbow from side control. Gruberman gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Kyrpa tries to pass to full mount but Gruberman defends it. Gruberman regains full guard. Nicely done. Gruberman utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gruberman working for a triangle but Kyrpa defends it easily.
Kyrpa stands up from guard. Let's bang! Gruberman doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kyrpa counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Some wild striking there from Kyrpa.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Kyrpa!
Gruberman shoots for a double leg takedown but Kyrpa sprawls well. He's pushed Gruberman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Gruberman tries for a takedown but Kyrpa sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Gruberman will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hervoton Kyrpa dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Gruberman moves forwards but Kyrpa connects with a nice, crisp jab. Hervoton Kyrpa is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kyrpa fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Kyrpa lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Kyrpa keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Kyrpa lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Kyrpa tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gruberman paws at him with a jab and circles away. Gruberman has a takedown stuffed. No luck for Gruberman with that takedown attempt. Hervoton Kyrpa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ed Gruberman. Kyrpa scores with a nice strike. Gruberman is breathing heavily. Gruberman shoots in looking for a takedown. Kyrpa tries to sprawl out of it but Gruberman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kyrpa manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kyrpa connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Gruberman's hands. Danga de danga de dang - Kyrpa scores with a four punch combination! Gruberman looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kyrpa is fending him off so far but Gruberman persists. Nope, Kyrpa circles away and we're back to standing. Kyrpa connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Gruberman momentarily.
No joy there for Kyrpa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kyrpa stuffs the takedown attempt from Gruberman. Gruberman gets slowly back to his feet. Gruberman closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kyrpa circles away. Gruberman throws a head kick but Kyrpa moves out of range.
No luck for Gruberman with that takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gruberman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kyrpa tries to avoid it but Gruberman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kyrpa to the ground. Kyrpa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Gruberman with a poor takedown and Kyrpa counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Kyrpa passes to side control. Check out the look on Kyrpa's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Kyrpa doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kyrpa manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Gruberman is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kyrpa is controlling him. Gruberman controls Kyrpa momentarily but Kyrpa frees himself. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kyrpa pushing down on Gruberman's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Gruberman takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kyrpa accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kyrpa passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gruberman tries to buck Kyrpa off but Kyrpa is having none of it. Kyrpa scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Gruberman to see if he's OK. Kyrpa cracks Gruberman with a big right hand but Gruberman just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Gruberman is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Gruberman wants to sweep here but Kyrpa controlling him for the moment. Gruberman is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Kyrpa thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Gruberman kicks Kyrpa off and gets to his feet. A combination from Kyrpa does no damage. Gruberman drives through with a takedown into guard. Kyrpa had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Gruberman is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kyrpa Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Gruberman's back instead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Can Gruberman hold on?! Kyrpa is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Kyrpa doesn't have the hooks in and Gruberman manages to turn into his guard.
Gruberman lands a couple of digs. Gruberman stopping the sweep attempt from Kyrpa. Gruberman passes into half guard. Kyrpa has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gruberman is working away from the top position though. Ed Gruberman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Gruberman is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Gruberman is pressing down on Kyrpa's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kyrpa is holding on for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Hervoton Kyrpa showed his dominance in that final round. Well Kyrpa has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
