Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Madison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Eriksson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eriksson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Creedence Clearwater Revival - Bad Moon Rising . Alexander Eriksson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, James Madison! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexander Eriksson! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Madison misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Madison changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Eriksson tries to avoid it but Madison manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Eriksson to the ground. Eriksson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Eriksson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
It looks like James Madison has been cut. Eriksson misses with a two punch combination.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Madison. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Madison. That's going to take a lot out of him. Madison shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Eriksson napping and manages to drive through into side control! Eriksson is trying to buck Madison off. Madison creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Eriksson sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Check out the look on Madison's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Eriksson is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Eriksson is pushing Madison's head away, looking to escape. Madison manages to hold on to the position though. Madison is trying to get an arm triangle but Eriksson is defending well. Madison landing strikes. Madison lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
That's one minute gone in the round. Madison sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Eriksson is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Madison wants to lay and pray for a moment but Eriksson keeps working. Madison throws an elbow but Eriksson slips to the side and avoids it well. Madison scores with a couple of short elbows. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Madison working the head with strikes. Madison looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Eriksson is avoiding damage well.
Madison is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Eriksson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Madison working the ground and pound from side control. Madison prevents Eriksson from escaping the position. Eriksson parries the strikes from Madison easily there. Madison is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Eriksson to escape.
Eriksson is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Eriksson takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Madison working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Eriksson parries the strikes from Madison easily there. Madison is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Eriksson to escape.
Eriksson is trying to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Madison is putting a hurting on Eriksson here, landing some big shots from side control.
Eriksson is rocked! Madison in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Eriksson looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Madison turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
