PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Warren Train (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Jason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jason has chosen Kryptonite as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Warren Train!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Aaron Jason!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Train gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jason to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Jason wants to control from the top but Train keeps moving.
Jason is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Jason got a little sloppy there for a moment and Train has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jason has managed to get both his arms back between Train's legs - danger averted.
Jason preventing the sweep.
Train knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jason on the ground.

Train has his foot on Jason's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jason works his way back into a safe position though.

Train is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jason defends well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Train has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jason can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jason trying to control but Train is working from the bottom.
Jason might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Train kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Train looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jason sitting in guard here, content to control.

Train escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jason gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jason preventing the sweep.
Jason wants to control from the top but Train keeps moving.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jason wants to stand but Train has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Jason thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Train on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Train tries to get out of the position.

Jason avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Jason trying to control the position from guard on top but Train is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jason working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Train's head.
Jason missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Jason wants to control from the top but Train keeps moving.

Train working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jason doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jason manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Train is looking for a triangle but Jason pushes his legs off easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jason postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Train is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jason is aware though and is defending well.

Jason trying to control but Train is working from the bottom.

Jason stands and steps away. Train gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Train throws a big shot that misses.
Train avoids the head kick by Jason.
Jason lands a leg kick that knocks Train off balance momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aaron Jason dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Train throws an off balance right hand
and Jason counters with a two punch combo.
Train takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Aaron Jason seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Train takes a swing at Jason's ribcage but misses.
No joy there for Jason, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Train looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Jason!
Train trying to control but Jason is having none of it.

Train goes for an armbar but Jason turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Jason.
Train tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Train is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jason is aware though and is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Train keeping moving, preventing Jason from controlling successfully.
Train working a defensive guard here.

Jason thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Jason trying to control the position from guard on top but Train is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Aaron Jason wasn't active enough on the ground.
Train misses with a straight left.
Train dodges the punch combination from Jason.

Jason decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Jason is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Train is just riding it out for now. Jason eventually gives up the hold.

Jason is trying to work for a kimura but Train is defending well.
Train is looking for a sweep. Jason is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jason throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Jason seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Train does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Train is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Jason jumps into side control!

Jason tries for a kimura but Train is defending well.

Jason is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Train is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Train wants to control but Jason postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jason working the ground and pound.
Train tries to improve position but can't.
Train dodges the ground and pound from Jason.
Jason advances to mount.
Jason controlling the pace for now.
Jason prevents Train from getting the reversal.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aaron Jason showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Train tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Jason swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Train.
Train throws a lazy right hand but Jason sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Jason will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Train shoots in looking for a takedown but Jason manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Train's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Jason plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Train throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jason will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jason throws a head kick that Train semi-blocks.
Train misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Jason digs a good hook to Train's body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Train takes a swing at Jason's ribcage but misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jason scores with a head kick.
Jason throws a quick inside leg kick.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Jason pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Train back to the cage. Jason follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Train avoids a punch combination nicely.
Train ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jason moves away.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Jason.
Train takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Train takes a kick to the side of the head.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Jason.
Jason scores with a one two! Train had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
The crowd cheers as Jason lands an impressive looking overhand right. Train doesn't seem phased though.
Jason's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Jason duly obliges.


Train is rocked!
You can follow us on Twitter at...Ooooooh Train got wobbled bad by a big combination! Jason presses forward with punches and knees until Train stumbles to the ground! The ref watches Train closely before deciding to step in and end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aaron Jason!
A very excited looking Aaron Jason made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
