Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rolles Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Davi Alberto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rolles Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Davi Alberto! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alberto lands with a thumping leg kick.
Gracie is breathing heavily. Alberto gets in close and instigates a clinch. Alberto lands a nice uppercut. Alberto manages to pull guard.
Alberto wants to stand up but Gracie is controlling him. Gracie postures up.
Alberto looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Alberto wants to get back to his feet but Gracie is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Alberto working a defensive guard here.
Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alberto swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Alberto wants to get back to his feet but Gracie is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Gracie postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Alberto is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gracie, into his guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Davi Alberto. Gracie gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Alberto to score an easy takedown into full guard. Alberto trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alberto stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Davi Alberto hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Alberto shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Gracie displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Alberto. Gracie keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Rolles Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Davi Alberto. Gracie slaps away a takedown attempt from Alberto, before circling back to the center of the mat. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Gracie crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Alberto - the referee stops the clock and Gracie gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Alberto. Gracie manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Davi Alberto dominated that round. The cut man is working on Rolles Gracie's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Alberto moves into the clinch successfully.

Alberto is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Gracie is controlling him. Gracie drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Alberto dives on top into guard. Gracie can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Alberto controls the pace. Gracie looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alberto advances to half guard. Alberto wants to control but Gracie is keeping him busy.
Davi Alberto has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Alberto swinging wildly here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie stuffs the takedown attempt from Alberto. Alberto gets slowly back to his feet. Gracie moves out of range of the body kick from Alberto.
Alberto fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Rolles Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Davi Alberto. Alberto wants to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Alberto keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Alberto rushes Gracie and presses him up against the cage. Alberto pulls guard successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Davi Alberto showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Rolles Gracie's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Alberto dives in and grabs Gracie's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gracie pushes down on Alberto's head and hops out. Alberto gets a takedown into half guard. Alberto wants to take a breather but Gracie is having none of it. Alberto is controlling the pace.

That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Alberto closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gracie circles away. Rolles Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Davi Alberto. Gracie takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alberto tries for a takedown but Gracie sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Davi Alberto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Alberto tries to clinch but Gracie is having none of it. A head kick by Alberto misses and Gracie counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Gracie passes Alberto's left leg - he's now in half guard. Gracie is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gracie wants to work for an arm triangle but Alberto is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Gracie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alberto is looking to escape. Alberto wants to improve his position but Gracie is controlling well.
Alberto tries to kick Gracie off but Gracie keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Gracie is looking for a kimura here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Alberto sees it coming and defends easily. Gracie is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Alberto has managed to free his arm - good work. Gracie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Gracie is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
And that's the end of the fight! Rolles Gracie showed his dominance in that final round. Well Alberto has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
