The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGregor swings for the body but Sosa moves out of range.
Sosa blocks a head kick by McGregor.
Sosa cracks McGregor with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Sosa scores with a decent looking hook.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McGregor throws the kick towards the body but Sosa avoids it.
Sosa ducks under a wild hook from McGregor.
McGregor throws a leg kick that is checked
and Sosa makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
A solid leg kick lands there for McGregor.
A telegraphed right hand from Sosa misses the target.
McGregor on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Sosa throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McGregor.
Sosa cracks a nice hook into McGregor's ribs.
McGregor throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Alfonso Sosa has been cut.

Sosa connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Alfonso Sosa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sosa misses with a wild body shot.
McGregor misses with a wild body shot.
Sosa throws an overhand right that lands on McGregor's shoulder, as McGregor tries to avoid the shot.
McGregor slips a jab and a cross from Sosa.
Sosa lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Sosa throws a body punch but McGregor moves out of range.
McGregor thows a left - swing and a miss!
Sosa connects with a single shot there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

McGregor swings for the body but Sosa moves out of range.
Nice body kick there by McGregor.

Sosa uses good head movement to avoid the hook from McGregor.
Sosa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
McGregor closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Sosa! McGregor dives in looking to finish! Sosa is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
