Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurt Angle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Mike Tyson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Tyson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kurt Angle!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Skip Squint and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Angle feints and as Tyson raises his hands in defense, Angle changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tyson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Tyson trying to control the position.
Angle throws a big right hand that misses.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Angle accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Angle lands a couple of elbows.
Angle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tyson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Angle throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Angle throws and elbow that misses. Tyson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Angle's guard. Nice move by Tyson!
Angle wants to sweep but no luck.

Tyson wants to control from the top but Angle keeps moving.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Angle shoots for a takedown but Tyson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Kurt Angle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Angle drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Angle stands up over Tyson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Tyson wants to stand up but Angle is controlling him.
Angle tries to free his leg and advance position but Tyson is retaining full guard.
Tyson could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Angle shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Angle winds up and cracks Tyson with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Angle stuffs the takedown attempt from Tyson. Tyson gets slowly back to his feet.
Tyson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Angle's waist but Angle gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tyson off to one side.

Tyson wants to stand and escape but Angle is having none of it.
Angle loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Angle is in close to Tyson's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Angle lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Angle must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Tyson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Angle's guard.

Tyson stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Angle to get to his feet.
Tyson wants to clinch up but Angle keeps it at a distance.

Angle looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Tyson!

BOOM! Angle connects with a massive shot to the dome!
A nice elbow there by Angle.
Angle is landing with some decent strikes but Tyson is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Angle cracks Tyson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Tyson holds on to Angle as tight as he can, avoiding damage.
Angle thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Tyson tries to hold on but Angle pushes him away.

Angle lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Angle scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Angle connects with a bit shot that sees Tyson covering up! More strikes from Tyson and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Angle is our winner by TKO!
