Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manny Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Carter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Manny Ramos! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ramos misses with a straight right. Carter throws a head kick but Ramos moves out of range.
Ramos throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Nice uppercut lands for Ramos. That snapped Carter's head back.
Carter fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ramos manages to avoid it. Carter is looking to clinch. Ramos misses with a hook. Carter tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ramos sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Carter somewhat. Ramos throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Carter tries to close the distance and clinch but Ramos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ramos circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ramos works Carter's body with a nice hook. Carter changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ramos tries to avoid it but Carter manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ramos to the ground. Ramos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Carter pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Carter walks into a left hand. Carter gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ramos to score an easy takedown into full guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Ramos throws a big right hand that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ramos in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Ramos stands up and waves to Carter to follow him. Ramos changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Ramos should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Ramos closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Carter's guard. Carter is trying to keep Ramos in close.
Ramos has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ramos stops Carter from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ramos postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Ramos wants to control from the top but Carter keeps moving. Ramos wants to stand but Carter has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Ramos missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Ramos throws an elbow that misses. Carter uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ramos's guard. Nice move by Carter! Carter wants to get up but he can't break Ramos's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Ramos wriggles free and stands up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter lands a head kick!
Carter is breathing heavily. Ramos decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Ramos wants to get back to his feet.
Carter is looking to control Ramos's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Carter avoid being mounted? Ramos not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Ramos takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Carter has his hands clasped together around Ramos's back. He's all about the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Ramos stands up from half guard. Carter has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Carter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ramos lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ramos. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ramos gets a double leg takedown into Carter's guard. Ramos loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Carter preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Ramos trying to control the position from guard on top but Carter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ramos decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Carter, up you get! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Manny Ramos dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Ramos lands a head shot. Ramos fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Carter throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Ramos throws a hook but Carter avoids it easily. Carter looks for a takedown but Ramos sprawls well. No luck with that takedown attempt from Carter. Nice cross by Ramos. Ramos stalks Carter and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Carter's face. Carter staggers backwards, shaken. The fight stays on the outside here - Carter looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Some wild striking there from Ramos.
Carter lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ramos lands with an overhand left. Ramos throws an overhand right that lands on Carter's shoulder, as Carter tries to avoid the shot. Carter drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Carter throws an elbow that misses. Ramos uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Carter's guard. Nice move by Ramos! Ramos is breathing heavily. Ramos passes Carter's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Ramos with the ground and pound but Carter uses the opportunity to regain guard. Ramos wants to control from the top but Carter keeps moving. Carter is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ramos is controlling him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ramos stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Carter takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Carter on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Ramos moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ramos misses with a straight right. Ramos fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Carter to the ground. Ramos is now in Carter's guard. Ramos gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Carter scores with a head kick. Ramos tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Ramos swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Carter scores a takedown into full mount! Ramos wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ramos tries to hold on but Carter pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carter trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Ramos tries to hold on but Carter postures up. Carter trying to control but Ramos is having none of it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of John Carter. Ramos shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Manny Ramos will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Carter pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Carter shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Carter was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Carter controlling the position easily from mount. Ramos is squirming around, avoiding Carter's attempts to control the action. Carter goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Ramos is on top in guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ramos is looking to work some ground and pound but Carter has wrist control. Ramos stands up and waves to Carter to follow him. Manny Ramos seems to be getting the better of the standup. Ramos circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ramos falls off balance throwing a combination
and Ramos takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. A head kick misses from Carter. Ramos shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Carter as he avoids it easily. Ramos throws a series of punches but Carter avoids them all with ease.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter connects with a high kick. John Carter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Carter tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Ramos throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Carter on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. No luck for Ramos with that takedown attempt. Carter looks for a takedown but Ramos sprawls well. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nice shot by Ramos. Carter avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Carter tries to clinch up but Ramos circles away and keeps his distance. Carter connects with a high kick. Carter takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Carter gets the takedown into side control. Carter wants to control but Ramos is keeping him busy. Carter stands up and we're back to a striking position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ramos looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Carter is fending him off so far but Ramos persists. Nope, Carter circles away and we're back to standing. John Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Manny Ramos. Carter gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Carter is defending well against a takedown attempt. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Manny Ramos is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Ramos is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Carter is defending well. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Carter successfully pulls guard.
And that's the end of the fight! John Carter showed his dominance in that final round. I think Ramos has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
