Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Holman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Captain Crabhair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Holman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Captain Crabhair! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Holman avoids a punch combination nicely.
Holman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Crabhair wants to clinch up but Holman keeps it at a distance. Holman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Crabhair's waist but Crabhair gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Holman off to one side. Holman scores with a takedown into Crabhair's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Crabhair is looking to stand up but Holman isn't so interested in that idea. Crabhair utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Crabhair can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Holman controls the pace. Holman postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Crabhair is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Holman, into his guard. Crabhair is looking to stand up but Holman won't let him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Holman not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Holman could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Holman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Crabhair doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Crabhair manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Crabhair is looking to stand up but Holman won't let him. Crabhair trying to control the position from guard on top but Holman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Holman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Crabhair wants to stand but Holman is controlling his posture from full guard. Holman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Crabhair gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Holman is breathing heavily. Crabhair tries to stand but Holman is controlling from the bottom. Holman trying to keep a closed guard but Crabhair is proving a slippery customer.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Crabhair pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Holman is keeping the position for now. Holman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Crabhair's guard. Holman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Crabhair swivels though and keeps the full guard. Holman stops Crabhair from standing up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Holman with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Holman wants to control from the top but Crabhair keeps moving. Holman postures up and lands a big shot to Crabhair's brow. Holman looking to pass the guard. Holman pushes down on Crabhair's leg and manages to get into half guard. Holman is nestled in close to Crabhair, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Holman looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Holman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Crabhair keeps working. Holman missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Holman missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Holman goes for an armbar but Crabhair turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Crabhair. Holman manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Mark Holman dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Crabhair misses with a takedown attempt and Holman counters with a single leg into guard. Crabhair didn't expect that. Holman wants to pass the guard but Crabhair is keeping the position. Holman is pushing down on Crabhair's leg trying to pass to half guard. Crabhair is fighting to maintain full guard but Holman has managed to sneak the leg through. Crabhair is looking to escape. Holman passes the guard and advances to mount! Holman working away from the top, dropping strikes. Holman has hold of Crabhair's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Crabhair manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Holman blocks Crabhair's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Holman goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Crabhair turns into him and now he's in Holman's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action! Holman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Crabhair can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crabhair slips nicely into half guard. Holman manages to get to full guard.

Crabhair has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Holman is proving hard to escape from.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Holman looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Crabhair wanted to stand there but Holman had control of the position. Holman throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Holman manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Crabhair manages to get himself to full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Holman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Holman tries to free his leg and advance position but Crabhair is retaining full guard. Crabhair keeping busy, throwing shots from the bottom. Crabhair is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Holman is controlling him. Crabhair keeping full guard, as Holman tries to pass.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crabhair not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Holman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Crabhair keeping full guard, as Holman tries to pass.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Holman shoots in for a takedown but Crabhair shows good takedown defense. Crabhair is looking for a sweep. Holman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Holman is trying to work for a kimura but Crabhair is defending well.
Holman is looking to advance position but Crabhair won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Crabhair gets a clinch. Holman tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Crabhair smiles and moves away.
Holman scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Holman is looking to take a break and control but Crabhair is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Crabhair is looking to regain half guard here but Holman keeps moving and retains side control. Holman is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Crabhair has escaped the position, nice work there. Crabhair takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Holman trying to control the position but Crabhair is working away. Holman lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Crabhair down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crabhair takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Mark Holman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Holman cracks Crabhair with an elbow. That is naaassty. Holman is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Crabhair has escaped the position, nice work there. Crabhair sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Holman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Holman is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Holman passes to side control. Holman working the head with strikes. Crabhair is working to avoid the ground and pound but Holman connects with a decent elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crabhair is not content to let Holman control the position. Holman working the body and head with strikes. Holman cracks Crabhair with a big right hand but Crabhair just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Holman is working to tighten is grip on Crabhair's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Crabhair has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Holman is really squeezing tight and eventually Crabhair passes out! Holman breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
